[OOC] The Tavern

That would be very kind, but don't feel obligated at all.

I suppose now is as good a time as any to flesh out more of Ursion's description, or to find fitting character art.

[OOC] The Tavern

Hey guys. Sorry to keep you in the dark but I am hoping to get the game started soon. I need a good chunk of time to get everything ready and give you guys detailed backgrounds but because I am watching some small kiddos at home and dealing with various COVID stuff at work my time is very scattershot. Sometimes I have hours and hours, sometimes days go by with me barely able to keep up with PMs.

Please bear with me even through a slow start. I promise it will be worth your while. My other Kingmaker game has been going on almost 2 years solid and steady so while this game might not progress that quickly through the adventure path (mainly because I jammed so much extra content into it) BUT there is a lot of depth to it. Lots of choices, lots of side quests, lots of political considerations that were all missing from the AP as written.

[OOC] The Tavern

Great character art Basil. I am looking forward to seeing him in action.

It took me about an hour of searching, but I finally found one that i am really happy with for Ursion. His is updated, but I'm holding off on adding equipment to the description until the sheets are finalized.

As a point of trivia, the Human Racial Trait "Bred for War" requires the character to be at least six feet tall. I think that's the only one I've run into that mandates a certain character appearance.

FYI love the sketch. Mega props for the adorable goblins :D

I should have time for detailed audits tonight so expect the game start very soon. We don’t need finalized sheets for a meet & greet prologue.

[OOC] The Tavern

Monday nights are fairly intensive for me, and I'd like a good introduction for my character, so will post tomorrow.

I'm usually easily able to post Tuesday-Saturday, Australian time. Usually afternoons when I get back from work - which as I'm currently working from home, might be about 3pm.

[OOC] The Tavern

Just as an FYI I have decided to open up the game a bit larger by adding another 2-3 PCs. Never fear for I have a system that keeps party sizes manageable until we get to the point where players have dropped and we boil down to a core group of 4-6.

If you think you can juggle that many people, I won't say 'no' to more players to interact with :)

[OOC] The Tavern

I forgot that I did it because it worked beautifully the first time I ran it. I started with 9 players and lost 1/3rd of them within the first month (as is fairly typical in rPoL) but that left me with a core group of players that lasted for nearly a year before IRL stuff started to ping them off one by one.

[OOC] The Tavern

Just as an FYI I'm pacing a little slower than normal so I can bring the second wave of players on board. You're at a party, there is a ton of people you don't know and everyone is busy stuffing their faces. Jamondi is going to give an announcement and do formal introductions so try not to jump ahead by marching up to her and asking a bunch of questions.

For now its fine if the PCs want to end up sitting on the same end of the table and chat among themselves. Perfectly natural. There will be a chance to engage the other guests, Aldori and the Mayor etc. just not right now.

For now...

[OOC] The Tavern

In reply to Erlin Bjorksdottir (msg # 79):

You weren't joking about that being a long post!

One recommendation, if you don't mind? If you color your dialogue text, it makes it a lot more accessible/easier to read for people like me. My brain sometimes has a hard time distinguishing between speakers when reading monochrome text, and colored dialogue really helps me stay on track with who is talking.
