[OOC] Upgrade to 2e?

After playing with the system for awhile I have to say that I absolutely love the new Pathfinder 2e system.

I know it isn't everyone's cup o' tea but I imagine as time goes on more and more players will convert.

I would be very happy to convert this game over to 2nd edition but I know that isn't what everyone signed up for so IF we ever get unanimous consent we can begin the conversion process.

I am leaving this thread open for continued discussion and vote tracking. As people think about it and talk about it I'll track where our current momentum lies in terms of staying with 1e or upgrading to 2e

As a general note IF we upgrade to 2e I am putting in very generous allowances for trial and error in terms of character design. Every time you make camp you'll be allowed to respec your character so long as it overall fits the spirit of the original character. When there are larger gaps between adventure we can talk about more radical changes or retiring characters and bringing on new ones.

[OOC] Upgrade to 2e?

I did some research, and the biggest issue I have to us converting as a player is more just that there's not quite anything in 2e right now that can do what Renee will be able to do. I even put the question to reddit, and the closest people came was the Magaambyan Attendant archetype (which has its own limitations, and can't do cleric spells), and literally just cleric multiclassing, which also doesn't really give me the same effect.

It also all leaves out the 1/day caster level buff like the one she just used.

[OOC] Upgrade to 2e?

I think I am in the same boat as Renee.

I could make a Fighter, that can intimidate people, but the whole build does not really work as intended.

A lot of the appeal to 1e is the ability to customize a character in complex ways, and while 2e may get there with enough supplement (I was in the Beta of 1e, and it was far more bare bones back then). For the moment I think I am going to vote no. Not at this time.

[OOC] Upgrade to 2e?

Sowwy, forgot to vote, been busy - but I would vote no as well: Erlin was made as a Skald, not a Bard.  Not saying I wouldn't play, I do like 2E, but I would have to probably come up with another character.

[OOC] Upgrade to 2e?

I will leave this thread up in case anyone decides to revisit their answers.

I am also willing to work with anyone on the fence who might be interested in seeing how a possible 2e conversion of their character might work.
