Prologue - The Elder Beerman
Suddenly appearing out of thin air with a soft *whump*, stands before you a petite red-haired woman in black-lacquered hellknight plate trimmed in gold; with the symbol of Asmodeus on her chest. She wears a solid gold face-plate, covering everything except her mouth. A crimson cape billows behind her.

What's this talk about destroying St. Nick, I hear? The fat man needs some "retribution", if you ask me. Bastard put me on the Naughty List.

She walks up to the bartender; Whiskey. Now. She takes her whiskey and slugs it back in one shot. So, what are your plans for this? And what do you mean by "travel arrangements"?

Ted checks out Kaylynn, MODEST!

"Oh! Travel arrangements are when you get a taxi to take you to the airport so you can take an airplane to drop you off at the North Pole. Or we could all take the Polar Express, but I'm pretty sure that only runs on Christmas Eve. Uh, what day is it?"

Ted checks his watch, but it seems that it isn't working. He taps on it and holds it up to his ear.

"Busted."

"Travel arrangements are a thing that happens to other people," Suiko says dryly. "If I want to go somewhere, it just happens." She shrugs, the gesture loose and fluid. <royalred>"I can go now. Or I can go to the world I made and take a nap first. Whatever."

Hans arrived in lackluster style considering, he simply rode a carpet and stepped off to join things when he'd arrived. "You're the others gathered to deal with this mix up with the lists yes? Dreadful business couldn't have happened at a worse time."

So, this may seem like a stupid question, but does anyone know where in the North Pole Kringle is? Or are we just going to wander aimlessly around until we find his hideout? I can teleport us there, once I know where it is.

Ted points north. "It's Santa. You gotta use magic to get there no matter what. Just believe and let's do this!"

"Station."

Prologue - The Elder Beerman
"The north pole is a rather small place, no bigger than a flag pole. Should be easy to find the workshop from there, however the elves try to hide it with fey glamour. My eyesight is above average." Hans offered modestly, because Hans had the reputation for being able to spot a flee on hiding on the back of a dog from a quarter mile away, without the use of magic, though it was sometime difficult to separate fact from legend dealing with such characters.

As is my eyesight. I can see magic as well. But that doesn't mean we won't have to wander around trying to find it. I say we stay here, make our plans tonight, and leave at first light. That way, we know what we are doing and can prepare accordingly.

She turns to the bartender saying; Bar-keep! Your finest room for the night! She flicks a platinum coin at the bartender. And another whiskey as well.

Suiko looks around and sniffs, the act conveying depths of disdain. "I've not slept in an inn in some time and I've no desire to start again now,"" she says. "I'll be in my demiplane. You're welcome to join me if you'd like accommodations a bit better than a straw bed."

“Woah! I’m down for that demiplane action!” Ted stands next to Suiko and waits for a high five, or however this thing works.

"I believe I would also feel safer sleeping in a demiplane tonight, now that we have met and declared our intentions," Meriza admitted. She stepped toward Suiko and her heavy stone armor clanged in complaint. The old elf was feeling more excitement building in her now than she had felt in a very long time.

Prologue - The Elder Beerman
Suiko stands and conjures another gate, back to the misty forest she had strolled out of. On the other side, the forest is expansive, startlingly so for a demiplane. It feels warm, and full of vibrant life - colors seem brighter, sensations more intense.

"Oh, don't come through if you're undead. Not a hospitable environment," she calls out as an afterthought.

The forest has numerous small groves and bowers with dense moss that is surprisingly soft. Suiko picks one seemingly at random and stares at it for a moment. A few seconds' concentration, nothing more at all, and the trees and moss and earth have reshaped themselves into a set of beds, the moss forming thick, dense, startlingly soft "mattresses."

<royalred>"Here you are. I'll be up early, if anyone would like some company."<royalred> Saying this, she walks off towards her own accommodations, which are only slightly different.

Ted looks down at his body, not sure if he's undead. He's been through so much. "Uh. Better not risk it."

He walks over to Kaylynn, "Guess I'm staying at the tavern tonight too! Are you going straight to bed or wanna hang???"

Prologue - The Elder Beerman
Slowly, carefully, making her way down stairs clearly not designed with her kind in mind, a woman smiles as she looks out at the group. Her voice like velvet she speaks. "A trip to the north pole, questing to find answers as well, eh? Leizi Nerissa." she gives a small bow from the stairs. She smirks as she turns to address Kaylynn "You'll find the best room quite occupied, although I'll happily share, or you may have it to yourself if you wish. I have no care either way."

Leizi has the upper body of a woman though pink fishlike scales with a slight iridescent hue trail down her arms and across her collar.  They become far more prevalent down her stomach. At about her waist her body becomes entirely like a fish. She has some light clothing on but aside from some bracers seems to have no armor and clearly has no weapons. On a second look she also has a sheer, near invisible sleeved robe overtop of her clothing.

Ted's jaw drops at the new babe. "Woah."

Then he gets an idea. He runs over to a table and grabs a fork and holds it up, "Excuse me, Little Mermaid, do you know what this is called?"

Irsen prepared to step through Suiko's gate.  "Thank you for your hospitality.  If sapient undead do not inherently offend you, I will offer them protection from the harm your domain would cause them."  He offered her.

Leizi looks at Ted with a raised eyebrow. "That, my friend, is a fork. Most people use them to help them with eating. If you need help learning to use one I'll be happy to assist." she seems quite serious but there is an edge of playfulness in her voice. "As for 'little'..."she trails off and smiles as electricity seems to gather around her. Leizi points to the area just in front of Ted and disappears as the energy leaves her finger.

The energy bursts out relatively harmlessly in front of Theodore, Leizi reappears in the place struck somewhat hunched over. She smiles as she lifts herself to her full 7 foot 4 inch height. "I was given to think that particular word doesn't describe me." she doesn't seem angry, simply playful.

Irsen nodded to Suiko.  "As it is a planar issue I can ward against it with a prayer for a miracle.  It is a small thing for the goddesses of the moon, and especially my lady Tsukiyo to grant to one who has served them as long and well as I.  Regardless of what Mr. Rolly-Polly might say."

Irsen let out a low rumble, then reached out and roughly batted the side of Theodore's head with an open hand.  The blow was neither so heavy nor so soft as it would have been had he been in his hybrid or tiger forms.  "This expedition is made of those who should have been on the nice list.  You're starting to make me think you don't belong.  And you do not want me thinking that you don't belong."

"Ow. Geez, it's from a movie, Sheer Khan! The Little Mermaid uses a fork to comb her hair, okay."

Ted tosses the fork back onto the table and leaves the tavern to cool off. He doesn't do well when people don't understand movie references.

Before departing through the gate, Irsen gifted any good characters with the ability to cast a few divine spells once each:  Cure Light Wounds, Sanctuary, and either Grace or Cure Moderate Wounds.

EDIT: please let me know if you are accepting this so I can mark my spell slots properly going forward
