It has been a fun couple of years playing with you lot but it is time for me to retire from the game.
I have enjoyed posting with those of you I had the chance to team up with or square up against at some stage along the way but I have now lost the enthusiasm I once had for Victor and Tears so I am going to move on to other things.

If anyone knows someone who might want to take over for either of these characters have them get in contact with our lovely GMs, otherwise I am sure they will kick around Smith's Gambit as NPCs for a while. Feel free to hit me up via rMail or on Discord if you want to get in touch.

It's been great having you.

I'm feeling that way inclined myself. When our DMs are on fire, its an awesome game. I feel like I could easily put too much pressure on my DMs to be ever present and I would much rather have happy thoughts on the game this used to be and return should the DMs feel like they are in a good place to continue.

If I also leave, hopefully the demands of fewer players will make it easier for the game to move fowards.

Its always sad when we lose players, but we understand. Hopefully we can play together again in the future, and I'd like it if you keep in touch on our Discord channel.

Until Narrator is up to posting again, I'm gonna try to finish the quests she was running, then probably stick to running no more than three quests at a time. It will be easier to run quests I started myself, since I'll actually know what has happened in them, so I think I can handle three, though I may update them on different days at times.

Sorry to see you both go, totally understand.

Play by post really works for me, couldn't tell you why, to the point where I'm in an obscene number of games. GMs needing down time and disappearing for even a few months doesn't bug me. This was my first West Marches style game, and I had no idea what I was doing with Verbannt (still really don't), but I very much love the style now.

Grateful to our story tellers for introducing me.

I will be staying, and the pace of the game is whatever it is.  Please don't feel pressured.  RL comes first.

What if said "live animal" is safely secured within a Bag of Holding?

Then its in an inter-dimensional space and would be fine. You know, unless it suffocates. But the first time someone tries to send a dangerous animal to an unsuspecting target, the company who runs the service would likely ban sending anything that has its own pocket dimension.

Note, however, a bag of holding is far larger than a backpack, but a portable hole or a handy haversack can be sent.

So, it turns out, we're down to about a half-dozen players. A few of you have made it clear that you're not going anywhere, and I appreciate that, but its starting to feel like we're rowing a sinking ship. When we started this game, Narrator and I knew it was going to be tough, but we didn't anticipate how much tougher life was going to make it. We treasure the time we've had with you all, and I hope I can run another (less complicated!) game for you in the future. If any of you would like, send me a message on rmail @feralwanderer or discord @RJ_DBOH and I'll let you know the next time I start another new game. It won't be a west marches style, so space will be limited, but you all would definitely have first dibs!

I really hope, though, that someday, we can return to the Rimewood, there's still so much left to be explored!
