Looks like the dice roller isn't overly fond of me today. All well, could have been worse.

Bards of Eloquence are silly.

It's only level 5, and I cannot get less than a 19 on a Persuasion roll. Trying to convey that in words is going to appear rather indulgent, so my apologies.

Next level that minimum goes up, too.

Trying to convey "I can't roll less than a 19 on Persuasion" into text is going to be a challenge. Going to be a minute before I figure out how to write her.

Next level it goes up to 20, and the level after that 21.

And some people still think bards are weak. Narrator accidentally ended a one-shot hours early with a well-placed suggestion spell to just the right person once. The first time she ever played a bard, too.

Eloquence bards are the bardiest bards that ever barded.

I used to hate Bards, couldn't see the point. Elisar is my first one that I have played and I LOVE him! He is such fun to play. I went for a Sunsinger Bard, which is a homebrew subclass that GMs permitted after some discussion and tweaking. He is more magic focused than anything else, as I see him more as a mage/rogue than a fighter. Not sure if I have even attacked with my melee weapon yet, let along hit anything. I know I missed with my one and only attempt to throw a dart!

Maybe you need to throw darts in the tavern instead of mid combat?
