Rising some 30' tall, the tower house sits atop a rocky gnoll.  A small stream runs down along a curve of the round tower, and a little dell form a depression of some hundred yards opposite the stream.  As you approach the structure on the rough road that led from Smiths' Gambit, you notice that it appears to be a seemless structure, with arrow slits and a solid iron and stone door the only things that pierce the wall.  Higher up, arched windows can be seen.  The iron shutters that protect them open to either side.  A short bridge crosses the stream where it meanders under the road, and smooth steps rise up to the door.  On the opposite side of the structure from the door several animal carcasses hang, ready to be dressed.  Hides too are hanging to dry, in various stages of preservation.  On the far end of the little dell, several targets can be seen to be set up.
