Just some basic gear but the timey whimey nature of downtime gives us enough time to get things sorted before the actual journey begins.

Santio, if you are scouting ahead, the part of Natural explorer that lets you keep your pace while moving stealthily applies. Most of the others apply either way.

I am guessing not:  in which case, Santio will bury the deer in snow,  where Guyver can watch over it, then get himself some sleep.
He does not need more than 6 hours, on this occasion.

BTW, Margul the Ancient is the chief of the Swift Tusks, and he usually requires a gift of meat to grant an audience. Pretend Smith already told you that. Thanks to Santio, you're practically an Arby's right now, anyways.

Don't worry, if he hadn't, I would have left out the part about the chief requiring a gift of meat. I don't believe in punishing players for things I forgot.

Oh, and for the record ... Santio did suggest that they all act like he was a Mute.

He can and hunt like a demi-god, and strip/butcher the carcass like a pro
              ... but its nothing like watching him butcher a public boast!


Keeping in mind that he is a wiry little thing:   his physique adding little to any perception of intimidation or power.

The juxtaposition of Santio talking vs Santio speaking is making for such nice roleplay.

Thank you.    I hate combat, as a rule ... so long and so tiresome ... so I tend to entertain myself with theatrics and cinematic narrative.

He'd won, and won well, that made everything easier.

"Govenor Erret Smith empowered me with the authority to set up trade between Smith's Gambit and the Swift Tusk Tribe, Chief Margul."

She gestured to the chest they had brought with them.

"We were told to show you what bounty Smith's Gambit could bring if you engaged, and to show respect."

She stood as she'd been taught to stand, feet planted squarely, palms empty and turned slightly out. No resting her hand on the hilt of her sword, or any action that might indicate a challenge.

"With the Red Foot driven from their seat of power, our goal is to keep the peace, and build ties of strength. You were the first we have sought out, as is fitting."

She'd found the gift that morning, and had assumed it had been the work of her Mistress.

With a Patron like her own, these things happened, and one did not ask questions. Her Mistress' whims were unpredictable at the best of times, and her gifts were best appreciated rather than scrutinized. Kiara would enjoy it when she had time, but for now, she had a mission. The first of many, she hoped, though already this one had proven more complicated than she had expected.

Yep. We lost Azu, but thankfully, the rest of us are still here. Glad to see even death can't keep Santio away ;p

Santio is one of my favourite characters in any of my current RPoL games.
I appreciate the opportunity to play him, my friend.

Also, just noticed Nutcracker was supposed to be here, too. Hasn't logged in since August.

Glad you're having so much fun with him.

What do you love about him?

I enjoy playing his quiet competence.   His lack of social confidence, but his love of nature and constant desire to be at one with the wilderness.  And his enthusiastic curiosity for new things.

If anyone is keen to get back to Smith's Gambit, and Santio doesn't mind, I'm confident he can find his own way back after patrolling with the scouts.

Hmmm.....

I could go either way, I like role playing with you Santio, so I'd be sad to lose you in the rush to get back to town and start up another question.

But.

Roleplay wise, Kiara wouldn't join the hunters, and I don't want to just leave Guyver with nothing to do.
