Shopping at Jessop's Goods

A familiar genasi once again struts in, gathers a few things in a big embrace, splatters gold on the table and walks out silently.

Very mild-mannered, but honest and efficient. The genasi doesn't pay much more than a thought to hope that Jessop doesn't dislike this kind of customer. The druid knows too many merchants are never happy to leave "good enough" at "good enough".

Buying ten iron spikes, a sledgehammer, an ink pen, an ounce of ink, two sheets of parchment, and an iron pot

That adds up to 13 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Copper

Shopping at Jessop's Goods

After returning from his patrol, Victor stops in at Jessop's to pick up a few things before heading on his way to the town hall. He manages a smile and a friendly nod in greeting to the shopkeep but the blood and mud splattered on his clothing along with weary eyes communicate his need to skip the niceties and go rest.

Packing his things away he manages a quiet "Thank you," before leaving as quickly as he had come.

Carmen had the same idea, taking some of her hard earned cash to spend on a healers kit. It would have been most handy in their last patrol...

Chelsie enters the shop, with an armful of torches. "Hello, my name is Chelsie, I don't believe we've met yet. I'm hoping to sell these," she says, gesturing to the torches, "and this," she adds, pulling out a tinderbox. "And I'd like to purchase a heavy winter blanket and some warm traveling clothes. And a tent."

OOC: Selling: 9 torches and 1 tinderbox for 2 sp, 9 cp.
Buying: blanket, traveler's clothes, and two-person tent for 4 gp, 5 sp.
So that should cost me 4 gp, 2 sp, 1 cp.

Shopping at Jessop's Goods

Having seen a few of the interactions inside the shop and drawing from other times in the city, Nutcracker entered and laid out a few items on the counter to be appraised while he picked some of the inventory to make an exchange and sale. "Trade." It was an older, gruff male's voice that came out. There was quite the pile on the counter as he awaited confirmation with coin in hand.

Buying - Quiver of 20 Arrows 2gp total, 2 Sprigs of Mistletoe 2gp, Grappling Hook 2gp, 100' Silk Rope 20gp, Sack 1cp, Waterskin 2sp, Whetstone 1cp

Following after the others into Jessop's, Victor smiles and nods at the man but sees he is with a customer so doesn't interrupt.

He moves about collecting the various items from the walls and shelves before patiently waiting his turn.

"These please, it's probably going a be a few days out in the wilderness."

OOC: As long as you have at least one quiver, you don't need to buy (non-magical) arrows. Your lifestyle expense covers that. The same is true with components for non-costly spells if you have a spell component pouch, an flasks of oil. However, if you want oil to throw, you will need a full flask for each one you wish to throw.

Shopping at Jessop's Goods

A hooded figure glides through the entranceway to the shop while nobody is present, before quietly depositing a pile of goods on the table, along with some gold.

He then points out four items by the wall, a single red finger sticking out ominously from beneath the cloak.

SELL: Leather armor (10 GP --> 5 GP), two daggers (4 GP --> 2 GP), two crowbars (4 GP --> 2 GP), a hammer (1 GP --> 5 SP), spear (1 GP --> 5 SP) javelin (5 SP --> 2.5 SP), component pouch (25 GP --> 12.5 GP), ten pitons (50 CP --> 25 CP)

TOTAL: +23 GP

BUY: crystal arcane focus (10 GP), shield (10 GP), hide armor (10 GP), war pick (5 GP)

TOTAL: -35 GP

Difference owed is 12 GP, which is payed in coinage.

After collecting his items without a word, he vanishes like a phantom that never was.

Shopping at Jessop's Goods

Once back in town, Izayah made it a point to make his way to Jessop's Goods. The two shortswords had served him well for a long time and he would keep them as backup weapons, but he needed something with a bit more reach and power.

He nodded and said, "Howdy." to the person working there and walked to the weapons area. He searched a bit and pulled two similar thin, light sharp-pointed swords used for thrusting: rapiers. He tested their weight a bit, gave a couple experimental thrusts with them.

Then he walked up to the counter and set down a fair amount of gold for them. "I'll take these, please."

OOC: 50 gp for 2 rapiers.

Tusk enters the quaint, little shop and looks around.

After picking out a tent, he heads up to the counter. He places it on the counter, and after pulling out his coin pouch, adds his ten torches and a single handaxe in a second pile.

"Pleasure doing business with you "

+5 sp and +5 cp (-2 gp for tent, +5 cp for torches, +25 sp for the handaxe)

His business completed, he heads back out into the town.

Upon leaving the Inn, Tusk returns Elisar's greeting. "Tusk Bristleback; I hit things until they stop moving. It's nice to meet you, Elisar. I don't share your personal interest in this Finnious, but the price is right and a man's got to eat. We don't have many leads, so hopefully we can coax out something useful from this one."

When they get to Jessop's shop, Tusk holds the door open for his newest companions before entering.

If jessop was visible, Izayah smiled and gave them a nod. "Hello there! We've met, barely, before. I'm Izayah, this is Elisar an' Tusk." Pleasantries out of the way he frowned slightly. "We're tryin' t'help someone find their friend, Finnious Finestar, an' they said you'd told 'em that he was last seen in here, gettin' readyfor a trip to some place called.." One eyebrow rose, "The Columns of the Land?"

"He said it sounded like a place he'd want to write a song about! I told him he should hire some folk to guard him, but he said he could look after himself. He seemed pretty confident. I'd wager the old fella could charm most things into not wanting to hurt him and that rapier at his side looked to have seen some use in the past, when that failed," said Jessop.
