[INN] The Frosthide Inn
"...and fair Denore was laid to rest
to sleep forevermore.
But lo, Sir Bon would never leave
the side of fair Denore!"
Carlton finished "The Ballad of Bon and Denore" and turned to face those who approached him. "I'm parched, lets have a drink, while we discuss this. Darla, my Queen, may I please share some of my profits with these fine folks in the form of some of Chef's illustrious brown?"
Darla sees how peaceful the cafeteria is after his mournful song and says, "If that's how you want to spend your money, and your break, fine. This time. But this isn't a tavern!"
Carlton goes to the counter, and brings four pints to the table, one for himself and one for each of his guests. "On me," He says. He takes a swig and then begins to speak, "A dear friend of mine, Finnious Finestar, said to me, that he was going to come to Smith's Gambit, to seek inspiration from the Rimewood. He sings about nature, you see. I decided to make the trip, see how he's getting on, but I can find no trace of him. Darla said he checked in here, paid up for a week, but he hasn't been to his room in days! He's pretty capable of handling himself alone in the wilderness, or at least he was, in his prime, but that was 20 years ago!"
