Re: [LOCATION] Smith's Gambit Town Hall

Victor arrives at the job board to look over Erret's list of opportunities and takes the time to consider them.

He idly plays with the pommel of a Sahuagin ritual dagger sheathed at his belt then writes his name beside the request from Ambassador Peryn.

"Perhaps when some time has passed we might aid the tritons in clearing the area of these sahuagin as we aided the goblins in clearing the Redfoot," he says to no one in particular.

Fresh from her visit from the Fierce Hearts village, Tiria checks the job board for anything new.

"Oooh, ruins sound fun but an enchanted river? So difficult to choose."

She looks about to see if the moon elf Qitris is around before signing her own name next to a job.

OOC: I'm interested in both the "First Keenbellow Underground Expedition" and the "Moonlit Sky" and will go with whichever is leaving first!

Brohm walks in, the powerful Dwarf pulling back the bears' head of the cloak, and dusting off the snow.  "I hear there are missing Worgs.". He rumbled to Smith, in a voice like a distant landslide.

Divok had taken to skulking around the settlement in cat form. It offered a number of advantages, one being that the others left him totally alone to think.

Today, there was a buzz about the mayor's office. He took to the rooftops, and leapt down from the rafters.

"The ritual sounds like one which I should be a part of." he said, clearly talking about the moonlit sky.

Re: [LOCATION] Smith's Gambit Town Hall

Verbannt's hulking frame was a regular occurrence at the Smith's Gambit Town Hall, particularly when there was fresh work to be done. Any oddity of the Bugbear's appearance dulled by familiarity. It helped that he was wearing his own skin and not that of a Dire Wolf, and not running with a pack of wolves, for he had been seen frequently doing both as of late. He tiny bow had been replaced with a much larger one of ash wood, and upon this had been inscribed many runes in the style that those who frequented Hexia's shop had become familiar with.

"Governor Erret Smith, I have spoken with Gruznak of the White Wargs, of the Ruins West of the Burning Stag. I would seek to bring his tribe and the tribe of Smith closer, and join the raiding party forming."

He growled, doing his best to not look in Brohm's direction as he spoke.

Smith smiles and nods at those who head straight for the job board. For the others, he says if they have any questions before they decide, feel free to ask, otherwise, he points them to the job board.

OOC: Unless you specifically say you are signing up or joining a squad, I will only add you to the board with a question mark, until you confirm.

Re: [LOCATION] Smith's Gambit Town Hall

A new silhouette darkened the doorway of Smith's Gambit, though she barely filled even half of it. Wrapped in a thick cloak of hide, with luxuriously soft looking fur at the trim, a small woman stepped through the doorway and into the hall proper. Despite the fact that she was shorter than most Dwarfs, and half again as broad, she held the space easily and deftly as she walked up to the bar.

"Well met, one and all."

She said from beneath her mask, her voice thick and husky. She removed her hood and mask, revealing skin was impossibly pale, with a sheen to it that looked more akin to ivory than flesh. She was not particularly beautiful, for her appearance was far too eerie to be described as such, the strange tattooed inks and gem seemingly grafted to her forehead making her all the stranger.

"I am Kiara, named Goldentongue by my Patron."

An appropriate nickname. One could get lost in her voice for eternities, because of the the ash in it rather than despite. She turned, her eyes finding the job's board, and a smile lit her too pale lips.

"Ah, work, exactly what I was hoping for. Perhaps I might be of assistance with the abandoned Wizard's Tower? I've a little knack for such things. Principally though, you'll find I best utilized for somewhat sensitive matters."

Izayah walked in and looked around. He stepped up to the job board, having heard some hubbub about new jobs being posted. He frowned at it as he read over the new entries. He contemplated for a long moment and then shrugged. "Hmph. Never did care much for hijackers. Trackin' down a stolen shipments, maybe rescuin' some folk, sounds good t'me."

Elisar spent the weeks following the great battle entertaining the townsfolk with his wondrous songs and heroic tales, a blend of the old favourites and some new ones that he was composing whilst in the town. they seemed to go down very well with most of the locals, as well as some of the adventurers when they stopped in for a drink and some warming food.

Eventually his wanderlust took over and he began to peruse the job boards to see if anything piqued his interested. There were the usual patrols and various mundane looking assignments, but one did stand out somewhat.

"A post from the Ambassador? Most strange? I have spent all my years above ground in the sunlight. Maybe an adventure under the water would make a change. I shall head to the embassy to find out more."

Re: [LOCATION] Smith's Gambit Town Hall

Golun had spent his time since the great battle in quiet contemplation, praying to Selune deep in the forest. This time had allowed him to reflect on his place in the world, and guide him on his path.

Finally he returned to town. Seeing many familiar faces around the job board he approached, assuming that notices had recently been posted. He was correct, there were several new jobs being offered, so he took him time to read them.

The post from the Gnome intrigued him. She was planning to go underground to explore some old ruins. That sounded interesting. An opportunity to confront those that seek solace in the dark, away from Selune's holy moonlight. Maybe he could bring redemption to those who had turned away from the light.

He approached Smith. "I seek the Gnome, Galenna Keenbellow. Do you know where she may be found? I wish to join her on her expedition."

Signing up for 'First Keenbellow Underground Expedition'.

Malkus rides up astride Dread and dismounts off to one side of the throng of adventurers, without speaking a word to his mount.

The worg stays eerily obedient as she simply sits there, waiting patiently.

Malkus reads over the listed jobs, and signs up to go investigate what may have happened to the goblins.

"I can use your help."

The elven woman answered Santio.

"Word of this place has reached the Mountains, of what you are all doing here. It is an impressive foundation upon which to construct something truly grand."

Her voice was honey and ash, the sort of voice one could fall asleep listening to if they were not careful.

"You've a need to spread word of what you've done to the Village of Swift Stream, to bring them into the fold? I will bring them about, easy as you please."

There was no doubt of her confidence as she spoke, and her words were mesmerizing enough that they could believe it.

When the shopping was done and the finances all settled, Qitris made her way to the town hall where the new listings had been posted as made evident by the crowd organizing themselves into parties. Several looked enticing, but with no one else signing up they would probably be a bad idea right now. For the time being she put her name on the abandoned tower near some dwarven ruins. "Someone's gotta make sure you all stay in one piece."

Everything fit in the bag! It was an amazing piece of magical equipment that made his corvid blood go wild with the things he could pack into it and STILL not be overloaded. Maybe more would be good? Nutcracker would need to find more work to get more bags, then.

The town hall was busy, but the bird man ranger was able to make his way to the job board and look it over. Many things looked interesting. Others had made their excitement known, too. For good measure, he placed his mark onto two listings as a just-in-case scenario.

OOC: Nutcracker will opt for either the Keenbellow expedition or Envoy to Swift Stream.
