[LOCATION] Fierce Hearts Village
Eithan took a deep breath and squared his shoulders as he made his way out to the center of the village, trying not to look deeply conscious of the stares of the people throughout the villagers.
He found a likely spot near the center of the village, relatively flat, and not too many stones - and a view of the three chairs, which seemed like they might get interesting later on.
After placing his burden down and taking a moment to look around - just in case someone would correct him on setting up camp in the wrong place - Eithan got to work. He knelt down, and etched out a circle on the soil before him, using it as a reference guide to re-summon his Unseen Servant, Drogo.
He went through the motions with his wand, and checking back to his book several times, trying to ignore the sensation of other people's eyes watching his every move. Why was doing magic in public always so much more embarassing than in private?
As Drogo returned into existence, Eithan commanded him to help, and together they began to lay out a tent.
As they went, Korbin landed on one of the tent supports, looked between Eithan and the invisible patch of air currently inhabited by Drogo, back to Eithan again, and cawed inquisitively?
"Hmm?" Eithan muttered absent mindedly as he tied off a line. "What do you mean, why didn't I do that before?"
Korbin cawed again, impatiently.
"Oh, helping out with the shop myself, and not having Drogo do it for me?" he said, pulling the canvas tight as Drogo held down the other side. "Isn't it obvious?"
Unimpressed, Korbin hopped around in a circle, and playfully pecked Eithan on the wrist.
Eithan chuckled, and took a pretend play-swipe at the bird, who fluttered off and perched atop another perch on the gradually assembling tent. "Fair enough. I wanted her to like us, Korbin. She could be an excellent person to know if we ever open a shop of our own - or maybe even a patron for future expeditions. She can also do magic that makes my head spin. Drogo is a wonderful assistant," he added quickly, nodding deferentially to the empty air, "but I don't see a mage with Hexia's abilities being impressed by my magical dabbling any time soon."
The tent finally coming together, Eithan stopped to take a stretch before continuing, and Korbin cawed impatiently. "That's just it. Now she knows my skill-set, she knows that I'm the kind of person to help those who help me, and that I'm not afraid to put my own hands to work to get something done than needs doing."
Korbin titled his head on the side, unimpressed. Eithan laughed again. "We can't all have your charming personality, Korbin. Some of us have to plan a little more carefully if we're going to make an important new friend, yes?"
The two-person now ready to use, Eithan and Drogo set up the bedroll and blanket inside, and stored the pack within.
"That's our bed for the night sorted. Now, Korbin - how about we go find out about dinner?"
Korbin cawed happily. It was the best news he'd heard since lunch.
