"Good morning gentlemen. I see a new face. My name is Hexia Icewind and welcome to my shop." She gestures to all the items hanging about on her walls making the room seem excessively colorful. "It's nice to meet you Enialis. What can I do for you gentlemen?"

"Ah, so your the one that posted the job, well I'm here to help out. But I have some questions, what is this area you want to explore and how is it not frozen?" Enialis says with an interest in this job,"Something like that sounds like a phenomenon worth studying."

"Yes I'm the one that posted that job, although I'm afraid I can't go explore it myself. That's where you fine adventurers come in. I need you to explore the area three days north of here and find out what's causing the climate change. If you can, bring whatever it is back with you so I may see it for myself. If you can't, at least bring me back the news of what it is and how it's causing the change. Also if you stumble across any runes or artifacts please bring them back or at least take notes of them for me. I would go myself, but I am this village's only protection. If you take on this job and do well I'll be very grateful plus I'll have a reward waiting for you when you get back. 100 gold pieces each sound right?"

"I also forgot to mention, I suspect there's is an entrance to some ancient ruins there. Please investigate it for me. Any treasure you find along the way is yours to keep. I just wish to study what is there or at least hear and see notes of what's there. Please bring me back proof of if I am right in my suspicion that the entrance is there."

In reply to Enialis Siannodel (msg # 4):

Elisar grinned. “I have my talents. I’m not just a pretty face you know. I mean, I am a pretty face, but not just! Don’t worry, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that might help on this expedition.”

As he finished talking a small silver raven appeared out of thin air and circled around his head, then disappeared in a shower of green and silver sparks.

In reply to Hexia Icewind (msg # 8):

“Job sounds interesting enough, and a fair reward. I’m in! I will need some supplies for the road ahead though.”

Enialis chuckles at Elisar's trick,"Heh, seems you might be useful afterall." he says and turns towards Hexia,"I'll do my best cataloguing any anomalies and finding strange artifacts, though I don't think a two man party is enough for this venture. Especially if we're exploring ancient ruins, maybe waiting for more people or recruiting some in the new tavern would be a wise choice."

"True. Go and gather whatever you need then return here to start your journey. I imagine the center of the Rimewood is much closer to this village than your settlement." Hexia gestures toward the portal.

Izayah smiled and cleared his throat from behind the two men. "Ain't just two." He chuckled and nodded to the woman. "Very good t'see y'again, ma'am." To his former party member, "Elisar."

To the person he wasn't sure he'd met yet, "Izayah Hamadrell, ranger."

Elisar turned with a start, then grinned at his recent travelling companion. “Izayah, you’re too sneaky for your own good! Glad you decided to sign up, I believe Wightvane is on his way, that’ll make four.”

He turned to Hexia. “We will return to Smith’s Gambit to stock up on provisions and return tomorrow. Good day to you.”

Once business as concluded he headed back to the portal.

Hexia smiled at the group, "Good to see you again Izayah. I'll see you all tomorrow, then?"

Enialis nods toward Izayah,"Enialis, a wizard and this is my familiar named Fion." the green wizard says and also introduces the hawk on his shoulder,"Hmm, a bard, a ranger, and a wizard, I would presume this Wightvane fellow is a strong warrior. That would make a good party composition and saves the bother of recruiting more people. It's a shame I won't have a drink before we go but a job requires a more focus mind." he says and leaves to head towards the Smith Gambit Town Hall.

In reply to Enialis Siannodel (msg # 16):

“Indeed, though I shall be at the Frosthide again tonight so will ask around. An extra pair of hands can’t hurt.”

Wightvane strode inside just then, taking in the scene. Two previous companions, a notably short elf he'd never seen before, and Hexia herself. "I like what you've done with the place, Hexia. I'm sure many who come will look forward to adding some of your trinkets to their collection."

His own eyes hovered over a few of the objects with undeniable interest before he turned to lock eyes with her, "It seems your call has been answered. Tonight, we should discuss all you know about the place and its dangers, its history, and so on. It will help to ensure nothing is left out in the name of haste, and help us to get an earlier start in the morning."

Alban steps through the portal and reappears in the Hexia village.  Getting his bearings and taking note of the buildings Alban makes his way to the shop and enters.  Noticing the others in the shop he quieting makes his way along the shelves; taking note of the shop’s wares and prices.  “Good morning to you, madame. Any good deals today?” , he asks as he eyes a broom on display.

The small halfling follows Alban quietly, looking around the village with his robes moving in the breeze, and holding his staff.

He makes for the shop with him  his neutral expression appears to be one of disinterest but in reality he took the scene in.
.He looked aroynd for the human ranger that could help him.

As you two (Alban and Kaern) enter Hexia's Shop from the portal you see standing before you a somewhat surprised woman and a man fitting the description you were given of Izayah.

"Well, what's this? More new faces? Welcome! Are you here about the job as well?" The woman smiled at them. "As for deals I have a few like this broom of flying I see you have your eyes on. It is used as that is how I came to be in this village and it can be a bit overzealous at times, but it's a good broom nonetheless. I also have a package deal of the boots and cloak of Elvenkind for only 500 gold for the two."

The halfling looked around the wares with a neutral look. He aproached the woman and nodded. "Your wares are beautiful. Should I get tbe money I shall return, but for now, I am interested in tbe job at hand"

"And what job might that be?" Hexia look taken aback by the halfling's words.

The halflings look was still as neutral as it always was. "I am looking for someone....Izayah Hamadrell. The guards at the barracks suggested I look here."

Izayah was only half-paying attention to what was going on around him. He was glancing over the wares in the shop, but also thinking about the new job starting tomorrow.

He turned to look at, and look over, the halfling who spoke his name. "An' they were right. Here I am." He smiled. "Who're you? An' whatcha want?"

Nodding his head as he listens to Hexia’s sales pitch Alban considers a moment.  “Overzealous, you say. In what way? I have considered purchasing or crafting a broom of flying myself. My name is Alban and I am an alchemist by trade at Erret’s Gambit and have a shop there. If you are interested in trading magic item formulas I would definitely be interested? I have enough in gold coins and healing potions for say the formulas for the cloak and boots of elven kind and maybe the broom there.” He pauses for a moment to gauge her reaction to the offer. I am always interested in expanding the arcane and my magical talents. I am not sure what the needs or demand for such goods are here, but If there’s a way for both of you to benefit from an exchange in goods, services, or knowledge please let me know.” He said earnestly.

Alban watches Kaern out of the corner of eye as Izayah replies to the halfling.  This should be interesting....

Alban continues talking with Hexia, “A friend of mine suggested asking you how the teenagers are doing? Her name is Peryn with the Triton nation. You mentioned you aren’t originally from here?”

Azu followed the others and looked around the wonderful shop. She picked things up and put them down. Sometimes she said, ”What is this?” or ”How does this work?”

"I'm Hexia. Overzealous in that it tends to take off rather quick." Hexia spoke to Alban as she watched Azucondie mess with her wares. "It's a fine broom and it does work rather well it's just overzealous as I said. As for trading I am interested, in the right stuff that is. I'm always looking for things I don't have that would be of value to me and I can almost always add more potions to my inventory here." At the mention of Peryn Hexia paused for a moment. "Don't know her, I'm afraid. As for teenagers here, they grow up happy and healthy thanks to a mostly safe environment. And yes I'm originally from Alemakia, but I left there long ago before anyone dared travel into the Rimewood. When I found the tribe here I bartered my powers to protect them for a place to stay. They accepted and I've been here ever since."
