Re: OOC: Chat
No eggs, you said ... I feel addressed. I was planning to open a tavern ("Chloe's Cozy Cavern Tavern") with all that wine and whatnot but I don't want to focus on one type of business alone. Chloe wants to sell everything she can.
I wonder if we could do something really crazy like carving out a dwarven-esque underground area and then illuminate and heat it with magic in order to grow crops and keep animals like chickens and cows for milk and eggs.
One big conflict, by the way, is the shared ambition between Odilon and Chloe. The old cleric used the word tavern interchangably for the temple he wants to build. I could sell all my wine to him when the time is ripe and pursue other wares instead, otherwise we would technically be competitors.
It kinda bothers me, to be honest, that I'm not allowed to use my complex business minigame because "time is tracked separately for each player" even though lifestyle expenses are also dependent on in-game time so there is basically no difference here between that and my invented mechanic.
The main problem is not, however, that I just roll on a table without any more complex dimension to it, the concern here is that, from what I understand, the wares I have physically with me can only be sold to player characters and who honestly wants to pay 2 silver pieces for something that makes no mechanical difference?
