Indeed. Welcome! Take a look at the job board, and you'll see that we currently need people to fill a perimeter patrol group. Alternatively, you can gather a party for independent exploration, or pelt hunting. You can also post in the Smith's Gambit thread while you wait for a party to gather.

Group 2 is full, we can start a group 3, though.

As I believe we've mentioned in the rules thread, time runs separately for each thread. This means sometimes, you may technically leave on a new job before you get back from your last one. Try not to think about it too much.

How does that function in terms of tracking abilities that recharge on a Long Rest?  Do we just reset at the start of each new job activity so we're always going into each new encounter fully loaded?

Maybe the land is in a time paradox or maybe their are doppelgangers disguise as you. But that's just a theory.

Time is an illusion. Nothing is real.

You, as players, can each only be in one job at a time. Your character can start whatever jobs are available as soon as they return from the previous one, even if it means backing up the clock from their perspective. You still have to take a long rest after 16 total combined hours of adventuring or downtime activity, (though when traveling outside the perimeter, you only get to travel for 8 hours before risking exhaustion. The rest is at camp, hunting, gathering water, etc.) So you can take two 8-hour shifts of patrolling, or 8 hours of lumberjack guarding and 8 hours of patrolling, etc. Either way, you always arrive in Smith's Gambit in time to join whatever jobs are currently recruiting.

Thus, even though the lumberjack guard job ended a few hours late, its members are eligible to begin a 2nd shift patrol job (but they will need to roll against exhaustion near the end of the shift.)

They could choose to take a long rest now, instead, but then they will be in the back of the line when it comes to queuing up for new quests.

Or they could use downtime for crafting, then take their long rest (as crafting and resting are allowed some overlap.) They will still be put at the back of the line, but they still might get into a second shift job even though it should be tomorrow from their perspective! Like I said, just try not to think about it too much!

So to confirm Odilon, though he just came from Protecting the L Jacks, is good to join another job immediately?
