If we get [2] more players, I'd be willing to have the other half be filled in with NPCs.

ALSO REMEMBER; All the matches will be randomized by rolling d8s, and you get a long rest between each round of matches.

As for pre-casting spells, or activating abilities before combat; This will only be allowed if both parties agree to it. Thus, say a fighter gets against a cleric, they would likely not want them to get the benefit of casting shield of faith, when they have no such boon.

ANOTHER REMINDER; If you are out on a quest, YOU CAN STILL FIGHT in the tournament :) This is a downtime activity, so you do not need to be idling around between missions to join in :)
