[QUEST] Relic Hunt

Sai and Azu set out for the familiar clearing where he killed the tiger.

Make a wisdom (survival) check to see how well you remember the way.

"This way, Azu," says Sai. as he leads her to the location where he killed the tiger. Not much had changed, except a light dusting of snow causing everything to sparkle beautifully in the sunlight.

21:59, Today: Conspirator, on behalf of Sai Nightbreeze, rolled 21 using 2d20+1, dropping the lowest dice only with rolls of 20,12.  Survival Check.

Azu followed and helped as best she could. When they reached the place she looked around. "Now what?"

"Now, we look for clues! According to the journal, the relic should be near the fallen warrior. Let's search for tracks, see if we can retrace the tigers steps," said Sai.

Azu, your time with Sai has brought you to a realization: you're a better tracker than he is! Go ahead and make the survival check, this time, Sai will aid you.

Azu moved as if unsteady on her feet, though it was not true. Her staggering and apparent drunkenness was all part of her personal. She took a little hat out of her bag, one with flaps over the ears and pretended to be perplexed. "I say..." she stage whispered "That means remember this for posterity." She cleared her throat and continued, <yellow>"Dr. Nightbreeze I believe we have found something. The game is afoot."

10:36, Today: Azucondie rolled 19 using 2d20+3, dropping the lowest dice only.  Survival.

[QUEST] Relic Hunt

Azu spots the tiger tracks, while comically ignoring the much more obvious trail the fleeing necromancer and her party had left in their haste to escape the tiger. She follows them to a clearing, that fits the description from the journal.

Since there's only two of you, I'll let you decide if you each want to make Int (investigation) checks, or if one of you will make it with aid from the other.

Sai smiles, getting into the spirit. "Egads! Lead on, lead on!" As the pair comes to a clearing, Sai glances down and exclaims, "Eureka! This must be it!" He bends down to grasp an ordinary leaf. It's not entirely clear to what degree Sai believes this to be an actual discovery.

Let's each do one. I should actually be good at this, but...

13:21, Today: Sai Nightbreeze rolled 6 using 1d20+5 with rolls of 1.  Investigation Check.

[QUEST] Relic Hunt

Azu found a trail of blood, partially covered by snow, leading to the dead body of a human male, partially hidden in the undergrowth. He lies face down, with his arms crossed underneath him, and the tiger had torn through his chainmail and eaten the meatier parts of his back.

"I didn't. I can't imagine they'd enjoy it, though," Sai responds as the two follow the trail. As they approach the corpse, Sai takes a closer look to see whether the body has anything identifying or was carrying anything.

Guessing I'll need investigation for this too.

15:29, Today: Sai Nightbreeze rolled 18 using 1d20+5 with rolls of 13.  Investigation Check.

Whatever remains of a backpack was torn to shreds before the tiger had even gotten started on the meat. It looks like there wasn't anything in it, anyway. Sai turns over the frozen corpse to find that the victim was clutching a small brass horn to his chest. He also has a small pouch attached to his belt.

Sai picks up the pouch and glances inside, then picks up the brass horn. He turns it over in his hands carefully before passing it to Azu, apparently forgetting to adopt a dramatic sleuthing voice. "I hadn't considered asking for a description, but it's a horn. You think this might be it? Does it seem magical to you?"

Assuming we need a roll, I can assist Azu.

She grinned and nodded, "Oh yes, very magical." She grinned, obviously she had absolutely no idea.
