Divok, you should be using Animal Handling to influence the dog, not Persuasion. And with the offered meat, you can make the roll with advantage.

I'm not a big fan of trolling in my D&D, even less so when it's done by someone I don't know, so I'm a bit annoyed at the moment. I know it's done in the name of fun, we just have different definitions of the word.

Yeah, I'm annoyed too at another player interfering with our quest.

He's the player who runs the temple. He had my permission to get involved. I had anticipated that he might try and shoo out the cat (and was prepared for you to chase her,) but since Myre already succeeded in her animal handling check, I'm not going to take that away.

Just happy I had the chance. Could have gone south but seems to have sorted itself out now.

Enemy for life if he had chased the cat off though. :P

That puts things in a different light. If I knew it was intentional it wouldn't have bothered me. I thought someone just felt like being a dick because they thought it would be funny.

Conspirator, given elves only trance 4 hours to get the benefit of a full rest, how does that interact with your rules regarding gaining fractions of downtime units for every hour not slept? Is that only accrued whilst out adventuring or also whilst resting in town?
I imagine once she finds some spells to transcribe that time will be taken up with that but in the meantime it'd be good to build up a bank of DTUs for crafting :D

Only applies outside of town. It does mean, while in town, you can technically use 5 DTUs every two days, rather than 4, though.

If I roll no encounters, do you want to have quick, uneventful patrol and get paid, or for me to have 1 encounter anyway?

If you don't have any encounters, would you like to immediately repeat the patrol?

If you do have encounters, would you prefer combat, social, or some other type?

I'm in it for the money and XP. If we can do a patrol, no encounters and earn money and xp then repeat it, go for it!

I think you missed Tiria's move to E14 Conspirator. The idea of her moving there was to either draw an attack or score an opportunity attack as they passed.

Just so you know, even if we remove you from the game for inactivity, we never delete characters, we make them NPCs (primarily to preserve the sheets in case you return, but if you are gone for a really long time, we may have your character fill a slot in the battle arena, but we wont let them die, no matter how hard Carmen hits!)

Pfft, Carmen is a battle of attrition. If you don't want to get hit hard, don't fight against Malkus!

I will be around but just don't want to drag down an adventure if I can only post once a week. Just sorting out downtime and doing stuff around town will be fine until I have more time again.

So, Sovok and Walter, are you cool with a 3 man patrol? It's certainly manageable at your level. We had a group once do a patrol with a single level 3 player and two level 1s, without any casualties.
