Peeking out and seeing little atop the wall but scorch marks and Malkus's spiritual weapon, Victor prepares and holds a blast of energy in his hand to send at any goblin that might still be up there and about step out to fire on them.

"This has gone smoother than I expected, where are their reinforcements?" he mutters to himself.


Readying an Eldritch Blast for any goblin peeking out.
Peeking out in order to fire so benefitting from 3/4 rather than full cover.
Held Action: Eldritch Blast on Hexed goblin hits AC 9 for 8 force damage.
08:10, Today: Victor Iusticia rolled 8 using 1d10.  Eldritch Blast damage.

Seeing that the goblin situation is nearly wrapped up for the moment, Malkus runs back towards the rear line of barricades. He leaps atop his Worg in preparation for breaching the gate.

The mystical gauntlet soundlessly floats towards the drawbridge.

Seeing the last enemy fall at the precise strike of Carmen's blast, Spark knew the wait for the infiltration group had begun. He also knew that the group tasked with lowering the drawbridge could be attacked at any time. To that end, the warforged was determined to make sure at least a degree of attention remained on the siege group.

Move: F9

As he moved he made sure to keep his shield ready in case some foe would appear and take a shot, but he called out to his allies as he walked. "I don't suppose anyone has any weapon or magic that could prod at the chains holding the drawbridge, or in some way take a few prods at how we might get ourselves across?"

Other than that he maintained his vigil and made himself an apparent target.

Action: Dodge (attacks against Spark will have disadvantage until the start of his next turn)

With the immediate danger of an arrow storm seemingly passed and Spark moving forward, Victor too lifts his shield and advances with some caution.

"The river was a good defensive choice, else we could easily scale the walls or ram a gate. I have seen others leap such distances through the ethereal but I don't know such magic."

Looking over his shoulder at the barricades he suggests, "If no one has a better idea we could try to use the barricades to build a bridge, otherwise I suppose we wait for the fight to come to us."

OOC: How tall are the walls and how tall are the barricades?

Carmen gets up, brushing off the snow from her clothes and surveying the scene before her. Her own work was done for now, but the others were talking about breaching the walls some more. She closed with them and hid behind the nearest barricade to the gates.

"There may be reinforcements. We should remain in cover until the gates are lifted." she suggests.

[EVENT] Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 1

The barricades are about 8' tall. The wall is 40' tall, the towers are 60' tall, and the river is 15' wide. BTW, it would take the average athletic person 3 rounds to reach the top of the wall, so you might not need to wait much longer.

Hunched over and trembling, as if about to transform like a werewolf, Tidelan staggers out from behind cover, grasping his pendant.

After many deep breaths, which come out half-growled, the sylvan shaman seems to relax and stand tall again.

Facing the imposing wall with a completely unperturbed expression, Tidelan surveys the group, "We wait?"

After saying that, a horribly dark expression appears on his face. It is a look of disgust and contempt, as if he has just lost all respect for the enemy.

"Duer vado parloya carnagoro, eh? Nuerya cadrogoro? Buero buero..." he whispers to himself in Farradi.

Action: talk, i guess?

Tidelan moved toward the gate, talking and shuddering.
Spark moved near Tidelan, prepared to dodge any attack heading his way.
Malkus had Helm's glowing Fist begin knocking on the gate.

From her vantage point behind the barriers, Carmen knows she is easily within range to blast the doors. That's exactly what she does, sending two bolts of dark tinted eldritch energy fizzing into the gates with great precision.

Spark did little as he stood and surveyed the gate and battlements. he held his shield up and marvelled at the firepower of the attacking group. He could only suspect the goblins inside were less than eager to open the doors.

"If we break the gate we won't be able to use it to cross," he suggests to her general direction while keeping a wary eye on the battlements.

OOC: Dodge Action as I assume we are waiting for the stealth team to open the gates for us or for a wave of goblin reinforcements to arrive.

Victor is correct. You're damaging the drawbridge, at the moment. Squad 2 should have the gate open withing the next round or two.
