[EVENT] Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 1.

[EVENT] Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 1

A heavy wooden gate stands between two stone towers, on the other side of a rapidly flowing, ice cold river. From atop each tower, and from arrow slits within, goblin archers fire arrows at anyone within range. You must keep their attention until the infiltration squad gets the gates open!

You may begin from any space just south of row 25. Note, I can't put you on the map until after you move forward. Also, Victor, I edited the description to clarify, if you want cover from the barricade at I20, you need to end the turn at I21.

I've decided to break the enemy initiative into four, but I'm still planning to do one post per round. If you need to declare your intentions on conditions, please, feel free.

Upon entering or starting their turn in the water, a DC 20 Con save is required or a creature gains a level of exhaustion from freezing (unless resistant or immune to cold damage.) Carries anyone or anything in it 20 feet east each round at Initiative 20.
***= Wooden barricades. Provide total cover (To adjacent creature opposite the shooter.)
EX= Enemy X
EX= Enemy behind Arrow slit X. Must ready an action to shoot them when they pop out, and they have three-quarters cover

Carmen leads her own way into the battle, protecting herself with continual minor illusions to throw up her own portable barricades.

Once in position, she sits behind her own one way mirror, waiting for a moment in which she can strike from afar.

Readied Action to attack from behind my minor illusion once the hidden archers appear.

OOC: Technically, I'm still off map as there is a range of 120' on the EB. It doesn't really matter which square.

Victor moves forwards, zig zagging enough to send off a curse and a burst of energy at one of the goblins in view from this angle before ducking into the full cover of the wooden barricade.

He peeks briefly around the corner to see if he hit his mark and frowns, "I should have done more target practice..."

Bonus Action : Hex on E1 (concentration up to 1 hour), target has disadvantage on wisdom checks.
Action: Eldritch Blast on E1 hits AC 13 for 3 force and 1 necrotic damage.

[EVENT] Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 1

Perhaps unexpectedly, Malkus leaps from his steed and sprints towards the barricade in front of him. As he runs, he intones a prayer to Helm.

As he dives in front of the structure, Malkus finishes his incantation, and as he clenches his first, his gauntlet glows radiantly as a larger, disembodied gauntlet manifests itself much closer to the fortress. The floating gauntlet curls its finger joints and invisible knuckles crack in anticipation of the beating that is about to commence.

Dismount to F25, move to E20, drop to prone.

Spiritual Weapon: 54 seconds remaining.
