Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

As the assault begins you hear the sound of battle commencing in the direction of the fort, though nothing comes your way yet. You each get into position some of you disappearing, to the best of your abilities, and others standing in the open waiting for your chance to strike.

Sai remains as still as possible, an arrow nocked and ready to draw. His owl looks back and forth, carefully surveying the area for any movement.

Readying a shortbow attack for when an enemy appears.

Assuming my owl is using sight and hearing, she got an 18 on a perception check to watch for enemies trying to sneak past.

22:46, Today: Sai Nightbreeze rolled 14 using 1d20+3.  Owl perception.
22:47, Today: Sai Nightbreeze rolled 18 using 1d20+3.  Owl perception (advantage).

Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

As they all prepared themselves,   Donella (if she isn't considered to have done so prior) Infused her armour and her Arcane Focus (the tech-magical weapon built onto her forearm).

~ ENHANCED DEFENSE
Item: A suit of armor or a shield
A creature gains a +1 bonus to Armor Class while wearing (armour) or wielding (shield) the infused item.

~ ENHANCED ARCANE FOCUS
Item: A rod, staff, or wand (requires attunement)
While holding this item, a creature gains a + 1 bonus to spell attack rolls. In addition, ignores half cover
when making a spell attack.

Her Shield was attached to her left arm, and her Arcane Focus to her right forearm.
Her wheelchair looked ... out of place, and ineffectual ... in this environment.   But it was her only way of getting around.

Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

Seeing as how the battle had begun, but nothing in their neck of the woods yet, Qitris took a look at their surroundings and pondered, "Do you think we might have the time to throw a tree or two across the road to slow up any carts? Just big enough to slow them down, but not so big to give them cover. We might even be able to set up some ambush in case they come as we're setting up."

OOC: Checking for any fallen trees or substantially sized logs.
23:22, Today: Qitris rolled 17 using 1d20+5.  Perception for Suitable Trees.

I may be wrong, but I have a feeling that we are behind squad 3 and will have to deal with anything that makes its way past them.

Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

"Don't be frightened. I'm about to change into something more useful." calls out Divok, as he slowly morphs into the shape of a giant spider. "Maybe some webbing will slow them down." he adds, before the final vestiges of anything remotely humanoid disappear and a large spider takes up the space where he once was.

Armor Class 14
Hit Points 26
Speed 30 ft., climb 30 ft.

HP: 26/26 | AC: 14 | Spd: 30ft. | Wildshape (BA) 1/2 (SR)|
Spell Slots: | Druid(1) | 3/3 |
Action: Start spinning webs between K16 and N15 | Move:  to the area of K16/N15 | Bonus: Wildshape into Giant Spider

There's no real rules around how long it takes to create webbing in an area under the listing. If you could give me an idea that would be cool. Also, I now have blindsight 10' range so that will be useful in finding any pesky stealthy things :)

Without wanting to rain on anyone's parade,  10' aint all that far.   Most pesky stealthy things are likely to be staying way outside 10'.
Even those of us with 60' ... that's only about 10x an average human lying down.  Better than 10', but still ...

Donella, now as ready for combat (not really her 'thing') as she was likely to be, began watching the darkness between the trees, and down the darkened path, for any signs of trouble and threat.
- rolled 13 using 1d20.  Wisdom/Perception.

Sai peers through the trees from his hiding place looking for any enemies, but seems a bit distracted by the large spider that suddenly appeared behind him.

22:49, Today: Sai Nightbreeze rolled 8 using 2d20+1, dropping the lowest dice only with rolls of 1,7.  Perception Check (adv from familiar).

Without anything happening - yet - and no one apparently had the tools to make a pseudo-blockade, Qitris would take a short stroll along the road to check for anything out of the ordinary; patrol, if one would. "I'm taking a short walk. Watch my back."

OOC: Move to J 19 letting Passive Perception rule to save an action if something is noticed.

Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

The forest remains still. Divok transforms into a giant spider and begins covering the snow with a layer of sticky webs. (OOC: Assuming you wanted to cover as much as possible per turn, I gave you the full two 10' squares I described. Let me know if you'd rather have had them aligned differently. Quitris spots a large bird flying overhead, from the direction of the fort. It seems to have something strapped to it.

OOC:BTW, you aren't behind squad 3, you're on the opposite side of the fort.

I feel like my whole round didn't occur for some reason. I'm still at the same place and still occupy the same area. Plus there's no response to my query about webbing an area.

Sorry, needed to figure out an answer to that before we could process your action, since it might affect where you actually want to move to. Here's what we could come up with:

If you're webbing the ground, you'll only create rough terrain, though your web sense will be effective on it. This has the advantage of being very difficult to spot in the snow. Doing this as you move, you could cover two adjacent 10' squares, beginning with the one you're standing on, and end your turn in a third adjacent square. You could also string a web between trees as you walk between them, creating a line of web between two trees, which can stretch into larger shapes as you include more trees. This works like the spell, web but with the spider web DC, but with your proficiency bonus rather than +2, if its better.) In either case, the web's recharge roll applies for each turn of use.

Assault on Burning Stag: Squad 4

OOC: Ok, I'm figuring that I'm in FG15/16 currently. Rather than walk all over Sai, I'll start the wabbing here and walk left 15' as described to create rough terrain.

For this round, I didn't get my web back so I'll just stand and wait for it to recharge next round. This rounds action will be to attack any enemy in range as a readied action.

15:22, Today: Divok Gezaha rolled 4 using 1d6 ((4)).
