Ok, two of you have joined, feel free to look  at the characters and decide among yourselves who you want to play..

Character-wise I am pretty easy to get along with.  After looking through them...

My first pick would be Bjorn.

My second pick would be Jack.

Third would be Peter.

What does everyone else think?

Hey guys, So feel free to click on your profile link, there you can pick and choose an image for your character. Feel free to use what is there. As far as I know, there is no way to upload any of your own. So you need to use what is provided.


So, the way I kinda do things, is every 2nd day I will try and post a story post.. these posts are actively pushing the story along. This is so everyone can have a chance to actually react to the event, and helps avoid situations where 1 person will run through the entire spaceship, killing boss monsters while everyone else is still putting on their boots. lol

But, I do check every few hours to see if people have posted questions or actions, or ideas, and I will answer in kind as I see them. Today, for example, the players in the hanger looking at the door. If you want to "search" a crate, say you are doing that.. have fun talking back and fourth with each other. I will respond to your actions as I see them.

I check every few hours, so feel free to roleplay your characters, I may actually use some of your ideas in your posts against... errr..I mean to enhance the story.

I hope so far you are enjoying a Play by Post game, if this is your first time trying it, I hope so far its a good experience!

Oh, I am assuming that you all own the rule book.. but if you do not, and you have a question about how a skill or talent works. Feel free to ask..

This is the first time doing a play by post so bear with me as I learn the ropes. I am familiar with the game and it's rules but not the flow of this format. When would be a good point to jump in? I'm guessing whenever I want lol?

The Alien RPG is new to me too. I just got the books last week.

I'm highly experienced in PBP and roleplaying in general, so if any of you have any questions, or if I can help, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Is there a preferred text format for posts? I see most using a blue color for the PC dialogue and then whatever it is that keeps the text closer to the left side and not go all the way to the far side of the page(that seems to make it easier to view on smaller screens/windows).

Hey,

There is no preferred method, I think the colored text for characters dialogue is kind of the norm. Just the way people have always done it.

But any color is good. Thing to remember is peoples backgrounds could be a different color. Mine is a black background with white text as default. Something you can set up in your settings.

The generator room is in the station... he essentially just left and walked directly through the main station hanger.

That's awesome Debrah! Since I got the rpg I found my old Aliens Adventures rpg, the Colonial Marines tech manual, a good chunk of the comics and several of the books. I've also picked up Aliens Isolation the paperback and the art that had some awesome pictures. William Gibson's Aliens 3 comic, Defiance.
