Montana shouts to Ivellios and Mando as he begins reloading his spent crossbow.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
"Figure out what? The only thing we need to figure out is how to get Kenemon here back to the Keep before he dies! Stupid musclehead..." Ivellios shouts after Mando, ending with a mutter. He moves to lift Kenemon, and turning towards Montana says: "You've still got brains, right? Help me carry him out of this cave."

Not sure how heavy Kenemon + gear is, but I can lift/drag 240 lbs. Is that enough, or do I actually need help?

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
OOC: A clarification: Kenemon is absolutely, unmistakably dead.  his skull has been flattened, and both his back and neck are clearly broken.  There's no pulse, he's not breathing, and you think most of the insides of his head is currently smeared on the ogre's club.

Also, it's at least two and a half hours from here to the Keep.

Also, with his armor and other gear, I'm pretty sure Ken's at least a tad over 240#.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
But we do know that he can be brought back to life if we get him to the Keep within 24 hours, like it says in the Cheating Death rule, right?. I think I missed the fact he is technically dead because we can still save him, but that doesn't change the fact that taking his body to the Keep should be our priority.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
OOC: so, Mando reallized after the fact that he ran off into the darkness ... and asked me to figure out how to show light levels.  I've just been using MSPaint to hack the map apart and move the letter "tokens" about on the map, so I'm a little limited in what I can and can't do.

This is the simplest thing I came up with: lines, denoting the transition from Bright to Dim to Dark.  Montana James ("J" on the map) is the light source - I'm rather assuming he's keeping that bullseye lantern on or near his person.

These lines will be on the main map when I update it in a few minutes.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
Goblins M and O advance on Montana James, but he is able to dodge their attacks (Rolled 11 and 12).

The three goblins fighting Koll have much better luck, all managing to land blows (dealing another 13 damage among them).

DORBIS ARRIVES THIS ROUND

I'll be adding him to Group 1 in a moment.  :)  I rolled (not very well) for his initiative.  He'll go before the remaining Goblins, but after everyone else.

There aren't really any "bits" left there.  Maybe a tooth or two.

The table, meanwhile, is now quite thoroughly lit aflame.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
Seeing the goblin looming behind Montana, Ivellios lets go of Kenemons corpse and moves to attack the little bastard. With the goblin being focused on Montana, it was easy to drive his Short Sword between its ribs.

Move to O6 (south of Montana), attack GO.

Ivellios rolled 22 using 1d20+5 with rolls of 17.  Short Sword attack.
Ivellios rolled 7,4 using 1d6+3,1d6 with rolls of 4,4.  Short Sword damage + Sneak.

22 to hit, 11 damage

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
"Follow along, follow along. There's nice pyromaniacs ahead that seem like adventurers. They probably know the way out." Dorbis takes the kid by the hand again and tugs him around the corner and into the light.

He runs along to the next corner and peers around to see what battle is going on. Taking in the ogre, Dorbis mumbles to himself, "Well I suppose that's Koll..."

Dash action to the end of the hallway. If Montana's at J5, then Dorbis will end up at F3? Not sure if I'm getting the coordinate right.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
My apologies, I should have adjusted the coordinates for the now-larger map.  Or, better, I should have thought ahead and set up the coordinates to allow for this all too predictable increase in map area.

Oopsie.  :)

Below is a map as of the end of Ivellios' turn, now with the coordinate markings I should have included (and explained) sooner.  In essence, the upper leftmost square is [A,1].

At the end of Ivellios' turn, positions are as follows:

Dorbis (D): [H,8]
The boy (B): [H,7]
Mando (M): [T,11]
Montana James (J): [Y,11]
Ivellios (I): [Y,12]

Koll (OGRE): [Q-R,5-6]
Goblin I: [P,5]
Goblin K: [Q,7]
Goblin N: [R,7]

With a Dash, the furthest you could get would be [Q,9] or [Q,10].  The boy has enough movement you could place him in any of the squares in [P-Q,9-10].

Oh, and: the area in yellow-ish is filled with marbles; the rectangles east of there are a table (now burning brightly) and two benches, both (crudely) built to Goblin proportions.

((map omitted - fully updated map in first post))

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
Ignoring the fighting, Dorbis calls out to the halfling, "I don't suppose you can show us the way out of these caves, can you? We've just escaped capture and are looking for a bit of fresh air."

Oh I was wondering what the yellow square was. Dorbis will end up at Q10 and the boy behind him at P10 then.

[OOC] Encounter: Goblin Watchpost
The three remaining Goblins, convinced of their own doom, nonetheless grimly continue attacking the enraged Ogre - one of them managing to open a wicked slice on one thigh.

Goblin N lands a critical hit for 7 damage; Goblin I also manages a hit for 3 damage.

Move to... if the letters start back from the start after Z, to E10 or just in front of the entrance. Look in every direction to see if anyone's there, I still have my action left so I can attack if I see anyone.

"Okay kid, you heard him. Put those longer legs to work, and let's skedaddle." Dorbis pushes the kid in front of him and runs across the cavern.

Dorbis dashes to AA11 with the kid in front of him at AB11.

Can we break with the turns now? We're just getting Kenemon and running.
