It seems the two of you are early. Only a few other hopefuls and the Legion members are here right now.

Rah stayed at her normal size, despite the giants, and waited to see what would happen.

m-Taa entered and sat next to her. "Morning," she said.

"Bright morning," said Rah.  "Any idea what we're in for?"

"Introductions or briefings, probably," m-Taa said.

Rah nodded.  She hoped they'd get on with it soon.  Waiting patiently wasn't her strong point.

A being that was seemed to be some sort of brain floating in a tank with robotic bits around it floated over and you felt it issue a greeting.

"And greetings to you, too," said Rah.  "I'm Zigeru Rah.  Do you have a name-symbol we can pronounce?"

The numbers 987-2 appeared in both of your heads.

"Good to meet you, then, 987-2," said Rah.  "Are you another candidate?"

You understand that they are a member of your team.

"Crystalline," said Rah.  "Is being a telepath your thing?"

That would be the closest answer, you understand.

"Shining clear," said Rah.  "Ought to come in handy for some things."

"I'm an empath," m-Taa said. "We may want to find ways to coordinate our powers."

You can tell that 987-2 is curious.

"I can both sense and project emotions," m-Taa explained. "I don't know if you do emotions or just thoughts, but either way our powers complement each other."

"Yeah, not really my thing," said Rah.  "I'm just a powerhouse."

987-2 would clearly like to know more and what you have thought up.

"Well, my powers can tell how people feel, but not context," m-Taa said. "If we're trying to help someone, or get information, we can get the full spectrum instead of just one or the other."

You can tell that 987-2 considers that it will be useful.

"I look forward to trying it," m-Taa said.

987-2 dipped slightly before floating over to a "seat" for themselves.

Rah did likewise.

A short green humanoid walked up, he was dressed in flashy robes and cleared his throat.

Rah instinctively stood up.

"What's going on?" she asked, a bit awkward as she realized that she didn't really know some kind of protocol for this.  Chiren military was probably not it.

"Well, it is I," the green man said.

"Sure," said Rah.  "I'm Zigeru Rah of the Titan Corps of Chiren.  And you are...?"

"I am The Fury! I am on your team as well," the little green man said.

"m-Taa Talvaar of Melanii," m-Taa said.

"I am sure it is nice to meet you and I," the Fury said.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is," said Rah.  The little green dude was weird, but seemed fun.

The Fury nodded and then climbed up into the chairs with some difficulty.

"That's right, we're going to have to pick code names," m-Taa said. "I've been having trouble coming up with a good one."

"I'm using 'Titan,'" said Rah.  "A tribute to who I am, and where I've been.  Reflects on my powers, too."

"The Fury is not mere code, but what's I am," The Fury said.

m-Taa opened up her senses to check if he was particularly angry.

The Fury did not appear to be angry at the moment, instead he was projecting confidence.

"That's good," m-Taa said. "I might go old-school, just power and gender."

"The Fury thinks you should do as you will do," the Fury said.

"So what's your thing, The Fury?" Rah asked.  "What kind of powers do you have?"

"Make many of the muscles and do the punching," the Fury said, grinning.

"Stellar," said Rah.  "Those are also things that I can do.  Very useful."

"Yes," the Furry said, suddenly turning at least seven feet tall and so muscular his muscles must have muscles before shrinking down to his normal form.

"Nice!" said Rah.  "You're even taller than me at full size!"

"Ah, you also do the growing? But you are plenty large now?" the Fury asked.

"This is my largest size," said Rah.  "I'm a Chiren.  Chiren are much, much smaller than most other species."

"Oh? The Fury thought his peoples were smallest," the Fury said before looking over at 987-2. "That be having full bodies."

Rah grinned, and reverted to her true size.

"This is how big a Chiren is," she said.  "Xophan are also this size, but neither of our peoples travel to the wider galaxy outside of each other's colonies, because it's awkward being surrounded by giants."

"Ah, now I have a sadness," the Fury said.

Rah went back up to her full size-- it was much easier to talk with giants like this.

"Why?" she said.  "Because your people aren't the smallest?"

"I think, but shall now be new motivation for making the punching of the bad," The Fury said.

"Well, if that works for you, good!" said Rah.

"Will we be getting combat training?" m-Taa asked. "I have basic training, but I'm not an expert."

You understand that 987-2 believes there will be.

"If the rest of 'em don't, I can give you some," said Rah.  "Basic hand-to-hand, anyway.  Military training and all that."

"The Fury can be making the help as well," the Fury said.

"Thanks," m-Taa said. "If nothing else, I need to be prepared if we encounter mechanical beings, or those whose emotions are too alien for me to affect."

"Good plan," said Rah.  "Is it against the rules to carry a blaster or something for that?"

You understand that it is not.

"So there you go," said Rah.  "Carry a blaster."

Rah didn't need one at her full size, of course, but options were good for her teammates.

"At least until I teach you the punching," the Fury said.

"That makes sense," m-Taa said.

"...So has anybody heard what we're going to be doing now?" Rah asked, looking around.

That was when the the three squad leaders entered the room.

"Everyone, pleas group up with your leader and today's activities will be explained," Cosmic Woman said.

"Who was our leader?" m-Taa whispered.

"The Solar Flare one," the Fury said.

"Okay," said Rah.  "Let's go."

She went looking for Solar Flare.  Someone like that ought to be very easy to find.

They were standing next to Cosmic Woman.

Rah waved the others over.

"We're here," she said.  "Titan, reporting for duty."

"Good. So, how are you all feeling today?" Solar Flare asked.

"Eager to get moving!" said Rah.  She felt fine, of course.  She was ludicrously healthy.  And possibly immortal.

"Ready to go," m-Taa said.

"The Fury is ready," the Fury said.

You all understand that 987-2 is prepared.

"Good, let us all head to the transport ship and I will explain things on the way," Solar Flare said.
