Game Rules - Characters
Statistics
Characters in ZASS have scores in seven basic statistics. These statistics sum up the
character's strengths and weaknesses. Skills can be based on these stats, as well as combat, interaction with npcs, and every action. Your character's stats determine their abilities in the game.

Statistic levels are indicated on a scale from 1 10. If a stat is calculated above 10, it will be indicated as 10+.

Strength is a measure of physical prowess. It is often linked with melee combat as well ashow much a character can lift/carry.

Perception indicates the character's awareness. It is often linked with ranged combat, as well as a character's ability to spot things, close or distant.

Body is indicative of a character's health. It is often linked with hp and resistance to illness and disease.

Fleet is how fast and agile a character is. It is often linked with being stealthy and quiet, as well as speed and acrobatics.

Mind is a measure of character intellect. It is often linked with problem-solving, memory, and manipulation of others.

Faith indicates a character's personal belief, whether in a deity or themselves. It is often linked with luck and influences every skill in the game.

Charisma is indicative of a character's interaction with others. It is often linked with communication, manipulation, interaction, and any other skills related to working with NPCs.

There is also one additional stat: Luck. Luck is simply a bonus stat, taken into account when skills are used or combat is taken place. Luck is a difficult stat to bolster, but can be a very positive bonus to a character.

Status Statistics
Unlike regular stats, Status Statistics are variable and change throughout the game.
Managing these stats is very important for a character to be effective. Like Stats, these range from 1 - 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest. A number above 10 is always indicated as 10+.

Health: Your physical condition. If this gets too low, your character may die.

Panic: Your mental condition. If this gets too low, your character may panic, wrenching him/her out of your control for a short time.

Exposure: How infected you are. Newbie characters cannot see this stat. Survivor characters have a basic understand of infection levels.

Awareness: How aware of your surroundings you are. More aware characters are less likely to be surprised by attackers.

In addition to these 4 stats, you may also see warnings appear in your status screen.
Examples include 'You are Hungry!' or 'You are feeling very tired.' These warnings will impact your other status stats, and can lead to character death/panic.

Anytime these status stats are changed by the GM, you will see a 'Your status has changed!'
message in their post.
