In reply to rchmage (msg # 1):

If Elminister is an epic level mage who can use epic level spells could he cast an epic level Bull's Strength to give himself an absurd strength score?  If so, could he then use an epic level conjuration spell to summon/create (conjuration is sometimes hazy on those details) an object so big even he couldn't lift it with his epic bull's strength?

These are the reasons I don't sleep well at night...

In reply to Bohrhorgen (msg # 2):

Depends on the level of the spell. A 3rd level or higher conjuration is more powerful than a 2nd level transmutation. Should he choose to use heighten spell so both are even, it’s a coin flip.

I choose to discount epic level Magic. We ran an epic campaign, talk about broken. Our fighter one hit killed a Linnorm, which is an epic level dragon. He hit for over 700 hp damage.

Single use of the spell, wearer activates as a move action . It can be replaced by an arcane caster with the proper meta magic feats.

The dice roller hates me.  I know I don't have much in the way of modifiers anyway, but seriously...

And to continue a conversation from new year's, yes the absolute smartest thing to do in a game that has a perception stat or skill is to max it out since it will be used constantly, but I mafe the decision at character creation that Bohrhorgen is not so much oblivious as he is neither streetwise nor paranoid (no perception or sense motive).

In reply to Bohrhorgen (msg # 7):

Yes, the dice do hate you! Even electronic!

I try not to set ridiculous DCs  so that it’s within the reach of normal people. As you gain levels, DCs will climb, it’s inevitable.

I do hope that the adventure is interesting enough to keep everyone’s attention. It is more time consuming for me than just playing but sometimes I polish things up before posting that make me feel it’s a smoother description.
