Hey everyone

Thanks you Mr Gm for invite me! And welcome to everyone else

So far we have 5 players. I'm going to recruit 3 more for a total of 8. If things go as normal, with an expected drop rate, we'll end up with a rock solid team in three months time. I'm looking forward to a great game, as we have some great RTJs in the works. :)

I'm hoping to get the game underway ASAP or in a few days.

Waiting on a few replies. Going to bed now, we'll see what tomorrow brings. :)

First, Thanks for getting the game set up!

Second, I look forward to gaming with all of you and getting to know your characters.

Love your list of the dieties and their alignment. I find myself in close agreement with your choices.

Just a comment:
Athena... She's the one who cursed a woman who was raped by Poseidon in her temple to be a Gorgon. Not sure that's lawful good: it's not like it was the woman's fault or could do anything about it. Maybe that Myth's different in this world?

That's one version of the myth. Another is that the gorgons were products of Gaia to aid the titans in their fight against the gods of Olympus, and that Athena had slain one and wore her skin.

Also, hi all! I'm going to be playing the resident centaur.

In a few levels I'll be a proper battlefield controller, for now I'm just a helper and seeker of legends!

Worship can be placation or supplication... Wanting power to remove a few gods is understandable. They are at least as messed up as mortals.

Athena is actually neutral good on the list. The only lawful good gods are Prometheus and Helios.

As to Athena, let's just say she had to do A LOT of penance to atone that major sin. In most stories, she is actually a Force for good. Plus, I can't have all the Olympian gods be evil. I have to have the pantheon list be somewhat balanced, plus trying to somewhat accurately reflect the true alignments of these gods. Not as easy as I originally thought, I tried the best I could. ;)

I hope the pantheon list is Worthy of such a great list of players. That said, you may notice we have a few more players than I originally intended to recruit. There were a lot of great candidates.

So after some lovecraftian style horror meets Greek mythology I'm sure we'll thin down the list some.... I mean, after some players probably drop.... I'm sure we'll have a great group. :)

I'm slowly working on Yngvar, finally got a sheet up, that was a bitch, it kept distorting and coming out not to my liking. After a few hours of cut & paste I got it looking okay. We starting in Greece? ;-) Athens? Sparta?

I, for one, am quite sure the unspeakable madness-inducing Lovecraftian horror eliminating excess players will actually be the very first bout of 10-player pbp combat. ^^

Indeed, hubris was a major sin in ancient Greece. Let's hope my wax DM wings don't melt in the Sun.
