Orlen went with his friends he was eager to leave this hole in the ground, but also eager to know what had happened here and if it posed a danger to the surface world.

Theo is prescient in his assumption of the next room. It indeed is a mirror image of the first in size, although the designs on the wall are a different style of abstract colours. This niche is still covered in a stone shell with the same starburst logo carved into it, but an amethyst rather than ruby is at the centre.

"We should be careful lest we release something else, maybe one of you check it for magic now that it's not shattered yet?" Orlen suggested.

Does anyone have the ability to check for magic? Or does someone have another idea or action?

   "I've requested a couple of magic detection spells for the day, but only a couple; Do people think it's worth it to use one now?" asks Theo.

“I have a wand to do it, and it’s brand new!”

Binx smiles, "Yes, the wand. Best to save what we have prepared for later."

"That's great Beagan, let's use your wand and see. Better to check for magic first and then I can check to see if anything mundane traps it," Orlen said.

  "And check the ruby from the other way at the same time too," suggests Theo, reaching into his pack to retrieve the ruby and its mounting.

The chunk of rock from the previous room has a faint glow of magic about it. The gem in this room glows with great intensity.

"Doesn't seem trapped, what do you think we should do?" Orlen asked the others.

Binx says, "Should one of us just touch it? It is not trapped... not that that means it's not dangerous, by any means. We could tap it with a staff or something."

OOC: Ah, sorry, earlier in the thread someone mentioned that Beagan should check for magic and I posted the result there. The idea was mentioned by someone but I assumed someone did check. Keep your wand's charge, B!
