The man is nonplussed at Orlen's comment.

Sir Jovius looked indignant
"If any of us were evil, we probably wouldn't be here in the first place. "

“Ah probably true, but your sample of gnomes came into this place to rescue lost human children, not a task for those with a bent towards evil.  Perhaps we just part ways and you can find more suitable and receptive participants?”

"I was refering to gnomes in general, the whole population as it were. Do you say that none are evil?"

He steps up to Jovius and points a long-nailed finger close to his eye.

"I am speaking to your masters right now. Food should stay silent."

Sir Jovius bristled and snapped at the strange creature
"Your ignorance is embarrassing for us all, you slack jawed jackanape.
You shouldn't speak on subjects where you know nothing.  We are all equal here.
Any fool who considers ME food is in for a lethal meal."
 

"Tis true we are not food. My only master is the Bright Gem," Orlen said referring to his faith. "I'm not sure who the others worship, it hasn't come up yet."

The man sighs.

"Equality, is it? Have you gnomish people have degenerated from your lofty position down to now sharing your table with those you once fed upon? This world is in a sorry state. You don't also consort with them, do you?"

You mean like half gnomes?  Not that I am aware of... perhaps you are thinking of the first world where the fey reigned, where the concepts and precepts of good and evil held little sway the world of witchcraft...when we too were fey.  Then you have slept long, perhaps we can help you in better appreciating what has changed.”

Beagan is slowly trying to get the era and context of the history the being is eluding too... he had thought first world where some believed the gnomes ate flesh of the non-fey

Perhaps witches were the right as cooking, eating and blood magic fit as did this being as a patron or patrons agent ...

Appears deep in thought as he looks to the others and waits for the being to name itself...

"As you were the ones to intrude upon my home and damage my belongs I do believe that it would be more polite for you to introduce yourselves first."

He stops his pacing and lifts his nose into the air sniffing. He then cups a hand at one ear and strains to listen.

"I believe our little chat will soon be disturbed by the denizens of this place coming to investigate your vandalism. I recommend you prepare yourselves for battle."

Clover speaks just above a whisper with a hoarseness resulting from pushing the limits of his voice. As he speaks he has a calm and confident tone

"They used to call me The Devou-" he stops suddenly and looks at the chamber's entrance. "I see that our friends have arrived."

Entering the room are three of the large skeletons with three of the party's lost members in the lead: Ty, Galeyn, and Wellby. All three look to be dead and then raised by some dark magics. Galeyn even has her ferret with her albeit, a ferret pierced by two arrows and impaled on a spear. The undead thing hisses at the party and wiggles trying to leap from the spear at Orlen!

"I do not believe that they are interested in parley. I suggest you attack them."

Orlen looked at their fallen friends his heart sinking a little at the sight. It would be a difficult battle he figured with their numbers so depleted. He considered using his gnome hooked hammer but he still didn't quiet have the technique down. He'd need precision and protection for this. He decided to go with his handaxe and shield.

He charged forth fighting back tears at their fallen comrades and hoping to send them to a permanent rest. He charged the nearest of their former comrades with his handaxe and attacked.

Sir Jovius scowled, silently cursing his clumsiness that had left him so badly wounded when his friends needed him most.
With little choice, he quaffed a small healing draught and prepared to fight for as ling as he was able

Beagan throws a grease spell directly under the group of undead to hopefully knock them all prone and even the odds

“Avoid the grease, knock them down and hit them before they rise again.”

  "Oh, great," mutters Theo as he heads up the wall once more for a clear shot at the undead with an eldritch blast.

OOC: Head up a wall. Eldritch blast hits AC 10 (touch attack) and does 5 damage.

Orlen's axe bites deep in Galeyn's neck and the undead former companion hisses in anger.

Theo's blast strikes Wellby but the once-friend doesn't hiss but burns slightly.

Beagan's grease spell lands amid the undead. Orlen make a reflex save to see if you are caught in the area of effect!

Two of the three skeletons fall from the grease, as does Ty. One skeleton, Wellby and Galeyn remain standing!

Orlen: Galeyn's weasle bits at you bit is unable to find enough reach from his impaled position, Her staff strikes out but misses also. A great skeleton swings a mighty axe but also misses!

Jovius: Wellby moves slowly through the grease towards you!

Beagan: Ty moves slowly through the grease towards you!

Sir Jovius was still wounded badly, but there was nothing for it

Orlen charges and his axe finds a home but then with the spell of grease his feet give out from under him and he's on the ground. Not the best place to be when surrounded by the undead. Orlen knew if he tried to stand up they'd just all whack on him so he swung out his handaxe to attack Galeyn's feet.
