RAID 2

ONE of your friends tips you off about a large payroll payment of gold that will be moving, this month, from the Tyrant's palace to the guard station at the southern gate of the city.

If you rebels could steal it, it would be a fantastic coup for the rebellion (and it'd help increase your Hoard, too), because not only is it valuable, it'd immediately make the name of the rebellion, AND might start stirring up dissent amongst the soldiers who don't get paid as fast as they're used to.

Who told you?

--Gentriya, the white witch?
--the Archmage Theo?
--Rasal's brother Kelev, a wandering minstrel and peddler?

(First one to post a reply gets to claim it was their friend! It will also help shape the info you get...)

RAID 2

Lady Chessintra was good at getting information and with her connections with the Archmage was a boon no one could of thought.

Informing the others of what information she might gathered and hopes that they would be able to achieve the task before then

Theo tells Lady Chessintra that the payroll delivery is to take place at 5 pm, straight down Justice Boulevard to the South Gate. The payment will be two large bags of gold. He also adds that there will be at least 4 guards, maybe 1 or 2 more... but that one of them will be a mage, so be prepared.

(...What will your plan be? Feel free to discuss it here in character, or in the OOC thread not in character.)

Re: RAID 2

At 5 pm, four guards leave the palace gates and start down the wide South Street, headed for the south gate of the city.

One guard carries a keg. Hmmmm. That keg may not be filled with ale. One might have expected a steel strongbox, but this is much less suspicious.

Another of the four guards is wearing different, looser clothes, with insignia that mark him as a mage in the employ of the palace (which is to say therefore, the Tyrant).

1. Are you
--near the palace?
--closer to the south gate?
--near the middle of the route?

2. Lady Chessintra, you note something about the fourth man's insignia that tells you a little something about what kind of magic he specializes in-- what is it, and what does it tell you?

Re: RAID 2

Rasal would have recommended striking somewhere in the middle of the route, where there are likely to be fewer other guards around, and any witnesses might have a harder time determining who was supposed to be there and who wasn't (assuming the guard disguises were good enough).

Re: RAID 2

Lady Chessintra would agree with Rasal, for he is the leader of the Resistance. LOL
