Additional Anchor Notes
Altair; Wondrous Motorcycle
  • Design: 2020 Kawasaki Vulcan: https://cdp.azureedge.net/prod..._BLUE/2000000002.jpg
  • Functions with no overhead as a superior example of its kind. (Infinite fuel, radio always works, never needs maintenance or upkeep. More maneuverable and responsive than default. Room for a single passenger. Compartments are automatically organized and seem to always offer up what someone's looking for when they reach in. Treasure 4 miracles can call the bike to Luna's aid.
  • Wondrous Powers allow the motorcycle to flex the laws of physics; it can support up to two additional passengers despite not seeming any larger, drive as quickly as Luna could move with Aspect, hold truly surprising amounts of cargo, and pull off stunts and maneuvers that are patently impossible, like driving across a lake's surface, along walls and overhangs, performing impressive launches and aerial maneuvers without ramps, and similar tricks. It can't quite *fly*, but it can almost do so in short bursts.
  • With a Treasure 5 miracle, the bike becomes an effective miraculous weapon, able to assist combat with other supernatural forces dramatically.
Vampiric Harem; Mundane Collective
  • Collective consists of approximately 200-250 women across the world and within the chancel. Most have an active interest in some element of an active night life, though not all. Only a small handful (about 10-15) vampires are among the list, her vampiric daughters. Few have positions of major authority or influence, but most have some sort of connections. In some towns, she has as many as five, while many host only about 2.
  • All benefit from the effects of being an Anchor, her guidance when they are in need (and her Shine, when that comes up.) Luna frequently accepts blood from her harem, though also spends time in their company. Her various lovers are aware that she has many lovers, and are generally OK with that, with some of them also having other partners (or even in several cases, partnering up with others of her harem).
  • When she possesses one of her anchors, she can manifest her vampiric powers and miraculous gifts through them via their blood link - each anchor is claimed with a small taste of her blood, not enough to turn them (usually), but enough to create the potential, which manifests when she possesses, and recedes when she departs (usually).
The bloody Crescent; Sigil
  • A small, simple sigil - a dark crescent shape with the tips of the crescent in a red hue, though this coloration can be very dark, very bright, or anything in between. She can use these marks as her eyes and ears, and wears earrings in the design almost all the time. She also has a tattoo of the design on her ankle.
Luna's Lunar Manor
  • Luna, Power of Night, quite frankly has a mansion on the moon. Yes, you heard me correctly. It is a gothic Victorian style thing, although it's neither dark and haunted nor bright and cheery. Somewhere in between really. It does always seem to have well-manicured bushes and trimmed grass and watered flowers though. The void of space doesn't seem to harm the impeccable landscaping of the place. And inside the mansion, there seem to be as many gust rooms as are needed and of course there's a sitting room, kitchen, den, library, greenhouse, swimming pool and jacuzzi, and other amenities too.
  • The mansion has any amenities that Luna can reasonably want, and its grounds are by default considered to have gravity, comfortable temperature, clean water, and breathable air for anyone on it unless Luna specifically exempts them from this benefit.
  • This is a wondrous Sanctum Anchor with the special ability to exist on any moon anywhere within Creation. This includes other times and the mythic realm, although by default it only exists in the chancel without Luna exerting active will over it. This ability explicitly allows Luna and others in the mansion to travel with the mansion if it shifts to another moon.

Gifts
Durant (1 CP)
  • Improved Durability vs Physical Harm (p228)
Eternal (3 CP)
  • Ignore physical and environmental conditions short of harm, resist pain. You can potentially stabilize from wounds that would be fatal otherwise.  You live on miraculous energy instead of food, water, air, ect. *Luna still has blood cravings, but doesn't depend on it, though her eventual Immortality will require blood*  Luna doesn't age. (p229)
Shapeshifter (1 CP)
  • Automatic speed allows shifting as part of other actions without miracle use. (p231)
  • Forms: Human/Vampire Original Shape, Bat, Black Fox, Mist, Hybridizations. She can also change her eye color, as well as the details of her clothing.

Reyfus, you suggested possibly diverting a point or two of Bonds into my Lunar Mansion.  I'm amenable to that, but could possibly use some input and ideas for wondrous capabilities and/or various functions, in such a case?

Yes actually. And it's inspired by something HG mentioned before.

When he/she asked if our chancel's moon had ties to the prosaic and/or mythic, and we said no it's cosmetic but still part of the chancel. But that doesn't mean your mansion is similarly restricted.

The mansion on the Moon

One of the top benefits of this, besides being super freaking cool, is that you can use it to go all sorts of places in multiple dimensions within creation and take people with. Maybe with a dose of mp it can even go to really obscure miraculous places like some moon in Hell or something. But another very practical use is that Luna basically always has easy access to the chancel even if she's not on a dark side of the moon as she can hop a ride on her mansion and warp out of wherever she is (and move other people around too via the mansion). And with treasure miracles, you can theoretically have your chancel assist you. Like maybe you need a book from your library or den and you left it there? Or maybe you need some food for someone who's starving...just warp some to your hand from your larder! Basically, this is a sanctum type anchor and I'd love to see one in play and see what a sanctum can all do. Miracle of Treasure has more on sanctums I think.

I like the idea~! I could see filtering down a point from the Motorcycle Bond and or the supernatural senses affliction?

In reply to Luna Duscae (msg # 4):

I'd recommend from Superhuman Senses. The Moon Mansion Sanctum is a great, flavorful passageway from your chancel to the rest of the Ash!

I'm happy you guys are liking that idea. It gives Luna a lot of mobility in the setting despite not having domain or persona dots, and like I said the treasure book mentions sanctums as anchors so this is a really good opportunity to try the treasure rules with a sanctum anchor too.

Luna can just use aspect 3 to jump to the chancel's moon, go in the mansion and warp to our moon, and then aspect 3 and hop down to earth (or down to wherever other world she's trying to go to lol). Not to mention it is a target for treasure miracles in general as a sanctum. And it also really "fits" Luna's character to have a vampire mansion too.

I like the idea that her low starting bond to it reflects the fact that it's not fully been 'converted' to exactly as she would prefer it from the fact that she 'inherited' it from the previous Power of the Moon.

Perhaps the mansion has some history with the estate of night or the initial creation of the chancel? Perhaps it was made by an earlier power of night that has since died, and the thing has been intimately tied to night ever since? But while the addition of nightside and the vampiric element caused Evanessa to need to "update" the chancel to accommodate the new, the mansion should distinctly have an old feel to it even despite any updates Luna many make to it (like the thing now has highspeed internet where as it didn't when Anthony stumbled onto it).

Processed the update of my sheet for the Lunar manor. And Updated the actual 'character sheet' under Character Details to match.

I really like the idea of a regolith rock garden :D
