Blackfoot's second is Durin Clayhand, a Dwarf Druid (rather than a Halfling), but ready to be introduced

Blackfoot is happy to skip ahead to meeting up with the others

I hope to get things rolling soon as well. This for me is the busiest time at work, I am in the heating and cooling industry and it's summer here now where I am... I have been thinking about how we want to start this thing back up. I see myself leaning towards one of two options.

Option one: A soft reboot of sorts, keep the current games overall story arc of the party being condemned prisoners sent over the wall by a mysterious noble to seek an item of some importance. We could also do that and if some of your characters want to have origins in Ravenlands perhaps some of the party were prisoners and some were "locals" and they simply meet up and decide to travel together. Fast forward the story a bit and have the party start outside of Wildecliff.

Option two: We can do a full restart and I can do a more vanilla experience, straight from the book, most likely starting in The Hollows, the first adventure site in the GMs guide.

Or something completely different? I'm down for whatever!

Personally I say continue on, Blackfoot was tasked with retrieving an item. My elves are locals who have been here  there whole lives,  maybe they will help retrieve the item or make sure it doesn't go back we can figure it out. No idea on what the new character is like a local or another  from a different batch sent over the wall to find it.

Like the idea meeting maybe a day or two from the town, far enough so that we could have a couple of encounters to get xp again once we reach the town and there restock and buy new or better  ger. With the couple encounters we could find common ground between our characters etc.

I'm happy with anything you want to do, my character could be a local or sent in after the main group to check up on them?

I'm happy for Blackfoot to anchor the earlier plot and skip forward to enable some continuity... or otherwise

I do like the idea of keeping Blackfoots character as is... perhaps Blackfoot is the sole survivor of the group that was sent over the wall and at some point runs into the rest of the group a day or so from Wildecliff? What about Tasser? You wanting to keep him around?

Let the game begin.

I have a question though the  Kin talent of the elves, how  well known is it. I don't think they would be telling people what they  were  capable of in that regard as we have been fighting for our lands to be  returned to us.

Just thouight I would ask

Just thinking a bit more about this, the wolf encounter has the option of turning out badly, especially if there's a pack, and Blackfoot and Tasser could have been forced to flee (hence not worrying about divvying up any extra kit)

It might be worth a few posts from the others so folks can warm up their characters before everyone meets up?

I like the idea of Blackfoot and Tasser running off from the wolves. That's an awesome(and easy) way to get the both of you moving along.

I'm thinking of setting up another message group for the "Reboot", one specifically to introduce each others characters again. Nothing fancy but something I can lock and we can all reference later. Call it "Bios" or something, really for my easy reference than anything else. If there is a feature baked into RPOL let me know as well... this is the first game I have ever ran on this site, and this game for that matter :)

I say about 2-3 days to town enough time to have several encounters if we are lucky and time to form a bond or start one at least.

Farewell?
So here's the thing, I have found myself with less and less time to devote to this endeavor and would hate to leave you all hanging... To be perfectly honest I have found this particular format of RPGing a bit difficult for me personally as well. I would have no issue with handing this over to one of you, I think that is a thing one can do right? I have enjoyed the times we have spent thus far and please do not think this a reflection on you as players, your enthusiasm and creativity has been amazing, thank you all for that! I'll try and check this over the next few days to see what you all would like me to do with this current game. Thanks again for participating in this brief yet enjoyable experience with me.

Farewell?
Going to struggle to take on a new campaign, but I'm just about to start a Forbidden Lands one you would be welcome to join if you wish

What's been hard with this format? Happy to share my own experiences
