Wards of Nature

The Wards of Nature are a group of wilderness and nature specialists that desire to preserve the beauty of the world. They gather in small, “flocks,” within a larger regional sized, “herd,” those that follow the ideas of preserving nature generally are druids, rangers, barbarians, clerics of nature, Fey Warlocks, Oath of ancient paladins, and any other people called to preserve. Officially founded in the Sverdkyst kingdom during the Warlord invasion. The Wards of Nature have since expanded and spread like wildfire, many naturalists wanting what the faction spreads.

Often seen as anti-civilization. They as a whole blame the cataclysm on the advancement of civilization, and misuse of magic.

The Wards or Nature divide themselves into two sects, that go about things differently, still however support each other. The extremist, are sometimes seen as terrorists, using scare tactics to frighten cities into destroying themselves, or when needed, helping them out.  The activists, teach tolerance, and lobby to stop civilization growth and to maintain. Rather than eliminating, seeing the impractical idea of this, teach the halt of more growth.

Holy Order of Nine
Gods give us strength. Simply, the Holy Order of Nine, a band of believers in the Nine Gods. They call themselves brother and sisters. Life came from the Gods, life is because of the Gods, and the Gods helped us win the War of Races. We owe them our lives. Paladins, Clerics, Monks, fighters, and any other worshipper of the Gods follow this path.

Zealots, they are called. Truth is still strong, as miracles still are performed and many still gain power from the Gods. The central belief and purpose of the Order are to find sacred relics and temples of the Gods and protect them. They wish to find the true names and persons of the Gods, believing if they worship the true Gods they will be blessed more.

Many nobles and houses have aligned with the Order flying the flags of their house, kingdom, and order. Seeking the honor and reputation that a Knight can have within the Order. Many houses setting up their strongholds by or within the boundaries of sacred temples and relic locations.

Seventh Sanctum

The land, the world is held together by the weave of magic. It lives and exists. Through study and attunement, we gain our strength. The Seventh Sanctum is led by seven powerful wizards, the original wizard to create the order was Halaster Blackcloak. They use the guild to monitor spell casters over all the lands. Those that join will gain the admittance into the wealth of knowledge that has been gathered for Hundreds of years.
They seek all knowledge, and collection of magic. The guild is scattered all over the continents and uses a network of gates to link all the towers together.

Kings Coalition
During the War of Races the Kings Coalition was created, not after the war was the forming of the Kings Coalition official. This was the first alliance of cities to combine military strength. After the war, the First Treaty of Waterdeep was amended to include mutual military support, as well as creating a united currency, taxing, laws, and regulations on specific practices. After, three more amendments took place to include more cities, races, and lands.

Just being born in the lands do not make you an honorary member. Rather membership is exclusive to royalty, nobility, and notable worthy adventures, and the guard/army of the land and cities.

The goal of the Kings Coalition is to protect and lead the people into prosperity. To expand civilization and forge technology, innovation, and growth.

Information Brokers
This secretive organization consisting of all races, classes and class standings. The Information Brokers formally called, or informally, the Whispers, the Web, spies, the eavesdroppers, and most commonly called the Dark Network.

There is no real malcontent against anyone or anything for the network. They are only in the search for all things that can be learned; gossip, books, spells, people, places, items, etc. The organizations mass of knowledge is unfathomable. No one, not even most Agents themselves know who or what leads the faction. They only know who their contact is. Their Handler gives them a mission and some missions may require other agents support, after the mission any contact with a fellow agent is discouraged. If one performs well they will be asked to step up in a role, becoming an operative and for the first time realizing they are part of the faction.

There is no identifying marks, symbols or insignia that an agent uses. One is only welcomed into the ranks upon invitation, which normally consists of a handler asking you to perform a job, but never revealing whom the work is for. Many agents of the Information Brokers don’t even realize who they have been working for until they are invited to a meeting at which point they are sworn under magical oath into the faction, as an Operative. At which point secret questions, code words, handshakes, and hand signals are taught to them.

All knowledge is for sale, and all knowledge can be bought, honest knowledge leads to prosperity. If knowledge is what one seeks they only need to ask for it aloud, and a member will get in touch with them. A price with be negotiated, the knowledge will be procured, and then the transaction. The transfer of money and knowledge will all be done in secret, the one buying never knows exactly the true identity of the member. Truthfully, no one ever is sure if they are working with the Information Brokers, but does it matter if the information they requested is discovered? And the Information Brokers do not like competition.
