Re: State of Affairs

I need to send him a message. I was hoping he would see the activity on the message boards (new message posted), but if he hasn't poked his head in I suspect he may have deleted the board from his list.

Re: State of Affairs

Well, Petar's player has not responded to me. Not sure what else to do. rMail is the only option, due to privacy concerns, so that's as far as I can extend.

Anyone else have another suggestion?

Re: State of Affairs

I tried rmail before and didn't get an answer.  The only other things are to either a) NPC to a separation point or b) recast.

Re: State of Affairs

Well, after some consideration (and the time of year) I've chosen to let the game sit for a bit more. I'd like to have Petar back, as the four of you were "core" members. If there is no sign of him around January or February, I will let the game go.

I don't believe so. I think I will allow this game to lapse.

It's been great, ladies and gents. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and will have an even better 2022. =)

Re: State of Affairs

That's disappointing--I really enjoyed kicking around the parameters of the new-to-me class of mystic.

In other news, I am looking to start a new game in 2022 (wow, that seems bizarre to type), so watch for the ad in Players Wanted.

The concept--I mentioned before:  essential premise is that the PCs were once 20th level characters who got caught up in a "stop the apocalypse" kind of event and have been thrown back in time and knocked back to 1st level.  They still retain some memories of the event, and are going to adventure forward to try to fix things so that the future event doesn't happen.  Of course, adventuring being what it is, that doesn't mean that their efforts won't result in new problems that threaten the continuation of the world.

Rule set is 2nd ed AD&D (ish--I toss in some 1st ed stuff) with a revision on magic.

Re: State of Affairs

Another clear post-op visit, so 6 months cancer-free.

Game mentioned before now ready:

The tale begins with a question dear to all our hearts:  Where do heroes come from?  Are they chosen by fate?  Are they born like all of us but tested in the fires of adversity?  How shall we know them when they walk amongst us?

Your character was once such a hero—at the very height and pinnacle of the course of an adventurer—on a quest to save the world, together with other stalwart companions also of such power.

They failed.

Cast far into the murky past, these adventurers have found themselves weakened by the journey into the past, retaining only the skills that might be attained by one at the very beginning of their career.  Now, having vague retained memories of that future failure, they have another chance to avert that disaster.

Will they succeed this time?

Reversing Destiny is a 2nd ed  AD&D game beginning at 1st level with accelerated  advancement to 3rd level.  Seeking 5-8 players.

Re: State of Affairs

Hi Angus,

No, not really. I can't say I am attracted to the 2nd Edition rules. I would consider it if it was say, 3.x. Or perhaps a different system altogether (something not D&D).

I am sure we will meet in another game in time. And besides, we can always chat in this game's OOC forum. =)
