Experience & Awards

Ok, this thread will keep track of experience points, awards, treasure, and other such details.

Awards

So, here's my criteria for experience.

Because just by money and killing monsters, you won't get enough to make the pace I'd like to see, I am following an "accomplishment-based" experience structure.

Base Experience
This is the core experience award for the finished part of the story. It reflects my desire for pacing and what I think will make for a good reward in the long run for threats overcome, goals completed, risks taken, and general progress in the larger story.

Roleplaying
Expressing the character's inner life and personal conclusions and ideas, as well as interacting with the world around you. This does not have to be pure "drama", just a demonstration of what is going on with the character. This awards here are: 0%, 5%, 10%, 20% extra on the base XP award.

Writing
This is simply the difference between doing one-line posts, and crafting detailed entries that show the world through the character's eyes. Due to the nature of expression in a PbP game, the Writing and Roleplaying awards are closely tied together. Awards here are: 0%, 10%, 20%.

Stat Bonus
This is just your primary requisite and stat bonus. Awards here are default: 0%, 5%, 10%.

Experience & Awards

Experience Rewards for Day 3:

General Roleplaying and Participation:  200 xp
Combat Encounters                    :  200 xp
Story Goals, Exploration, Discovery  :  600 xp

Total for the Day                    : 1000 xp
Bonus for High Stats                 :  100 xp

New Totals:

- Petar  : 2900 xp
- Aila   : 2680 xp
- Angus  : 2540 xp
- Oswyn  : 1100 xp
- Brulna : 1100 xp

From what I gather of the XP tables, Angus and Aila have reached 2nd level. Everyone else might need another day or two.

When you roll for Hit Points, you may re-roll a "1" once. If you rather not roll, you can take the midpoint rounded up: 3 for D4, 4 for D6, 5 for D8. CON bonuses still apply, of course.

Angus, you'll need a full day to get your new spell, so while your experience and practice qualifies you to cast two spells, you will have to take a trip back to arrange for the study and writing of a new spell. There is no cost for it, other than having to spend the time to do the actual discovery and scribing.

On another good note: This puts Camille at 3rd level.

By the way, Brulna: if you haven't rolled and picked your Charms, please go ahead. Let me know what you get.
