Re: OOC

I don't believe so, but let's ask.

Ylva, between Bristle's Status spell, her Deathwatch Eyes, and her ungodly high Heal skill, can she guestimate Caleb's health status?

He's fine? Not sure where the impression came from, he's around half health.

Re: OOC

Sorry, I probably jumped the gun with my past rolls. Also, just lol at all of these 2s. At least handling my Animal Companion with known tricks is a DC 10 and I've got a +17 for Kiru...

Re: OOC

Sorry it is taking so long for me to get a response up. I do have a post I want to make and info to share, but it requires a bit of precision on my part to organize it into a coherent post. But the last day or two have been pretty hectic. On the plus side though, I am back home again and no longer need to post from my phone! I have high hopes I should be able to get a good post up in less than 24 hours.

Re: OOC

So the basic options are now laid out, summarizing them here.
-Do nothing
-Hester destroys the crystal. Whisper lives, and probably kills you, but has to rebuild her scrying focus to make another attempt at returning to the material.
-Have Bristle use the focus, killing Hester but removing the threat
-Have Caleb use the focus, possibly cleansing the bloodline of Whisper's taint, but possibly having unintended consequences

I'm just waiting on either a consensus or someone to jump in with another thought or answer.

Re: OOC

How about amending 'Hester destroys the crystal' to...
Bristle coats her missile weapons with the black toxin.
Hester destroys the crystal and immediately after, Caleb hurls the orb at Whisper while Bristle shoots her with whatever she coated.
Surely between a prison made from the words of a dying god and a spiritual toxin, we can get victory without death or pain for Hester?

Re: OOC

My thought is that Bristle casts her evil magic on the crystal while Caleb cast's his good magic. Meanwhile Hester and Voh'ren can stand by with the poison and orb (if possible) if they are needed. And Firea can use her fire magic and/or cover everyone with her dispels vs surprise magic cropping up.

Oh, I suppose it would also make sense for Bristle to heal people before we do the final blast too. Especially if it becomes clear her party members aren't going to turn on her. She was afraid they would if she expressed her plan to wipe out all of Whisper's descendants. But now she plans to help try and save them.

Re: OOC

Mentioning sunlight made me think of pulling Whisper back to the prime material plane and exposing her to sunlight, but I honestly don't know much IC or OOC about what that might do.

Woohoo! We defeated Whisper and nobody died!

Ylva, is the new thread meant to be a continuation of the roleplay? Or is it more like an epilogue thread where we post what our characters do in the coming days/months/years?

Re: OOC

It's an epilogue, I have rough idea of where the later stages are going, but wanted to give people a chance to post their characters celebrating and such.

Re: OOC

link to another game

Game forum for the next game. I went with "Where the Light Burns Brightest", the game seed with the corruption and the wasted city, with slight modifications as the idea developed further.

Does anyone object to the addition of a friend of mine who has interest in the game? I'll vouch for her, but I understand that there may be a desire to keep the same group exactly.

And with that, we conclude this story.

Thank you all, sincerely, for sticking it out. I know this game has not been without its struggles, and I'm truly touched that you all stuck with it to the end. This is the first PbP game I've had reach conclusion, and I'm so grateful to all of you for making that happen. Couldn't have done it without your active involvement.

Re: OOC

I think this was my first Pathfinder campaign that I have ever completed. And definitely my first character that managed to get a happily ever after.

I had a ton of fun playing Bristle Chonk. She turned out to be a rather complex character, and she got the chance to use a lot of her skills and abilities in a meaningful way, which makes for a very satisfying game. I never would have guessed that her silly Craft: Jewelry skill would have actually ended up being relevant! It was also really cool to have the chance to satisfyingly play an evil character. I think she managed to stay true to her evil ways throughout, but while still managing to remain cooperative and even friendly with the non-evil party members. She was evil, but not needlessly cruel and malicious. Also, skeletal dragon! Getting the chance to create that undead abomination was really satisfying and itched a roleplaying scratch that I have had for a very long time.

Thank you Ylva for running such a great game, and for letting me run such a fun character. And thank you everyone else for playing as well. May our next adventure together be equally as grand!

Likewise, I really appreciate the thought and care that you put in, even for Kiru. ^_^ I've been wanting to play this character concept for a long time, and it's satisfying to see him reach a decent conclusion. ^_^
