Ascension to Office
Bristle scratched absentmindedly at the back of her neck as they gazed upon the coronation from their hill. The skeletal rat she had animated for herself rested there, under her cloak, ready to wake her if she should fall asleep. Each of her companions had a similar skeleton. All given the same orders. Essentially, "stay within 5 feet of [person] and move as little as possible, and wake them if they fall asleep."
Speaking of sleep, the previous night had been a new experience. After finishing her prayers, Bristle spent the rest of the night awake, but not tired. Firea's spell seemed to do the trick. Bristle hadn't exactly enjoyed the lack of sleep, but it was necessary. Plus, it gave their group more time to mull over the journal Caleb had found.
"I wish I had my bear," Bristle mused, not for the first time. If things went wrong, it would have been nice to have extra firepower around. Unfortunately a big skeletal bear would draw too much unwanted attention among the crowds, so she had to leave it hidden securely at the bottom of a murky pond outside the city for now.
She turned to Firea and Voh'ren. "Either of you catch the smell of those spell components yet? Locate any potential agents of Whisper?" With such large crowds, you would be lucky if you could smell your own armpits, but she still felt compelled to ask.
