Re: OOC:

Nora:
when you say "sharing a backstory" do you mean "we are a duo practically chained at the hip" or "we shared one very harrowing and meaningful adventure a'la the base rules"?

Because if it's the later, Nora could know people with the following:
-a tendency to hunt vampires
-church backing
-anyone from Boston or the East Coast
-strong connections to the Paranet

You don't have to be chained to the hip per se. However, I would expect almost, but not quite, no infighting and a lot of teamwork. You could still have your own story arch, but more than likely you know that the two of you will help each other out (close to for "free") with each other's story archs.

But sharing a backstory means that if you wrote a full essay of your character, several paragraphs would be teamed up with this person. You don't have to write that much obviously.

Re: OOC:

Felix and I did shared backstory like they do in the unaccelerated version, it will be nor more than four paragraphs when it's done.

Oh my God finally home!!!

Was sitting at work having a drink and one of my cooks walks out saying our walkin wasnt working. Had to find a home for $4k worth of product so they can fix the thing overnight.

Re: OOC:

If any of the NPC info is slightly wrong (or mostly) for the time frame let me know. PM or OOC doesn't matter. I think I got it right. I had to fix Molly as what I wrote originally was later lol.

But I think I have everyone else mostly right at least. Not sure if Ramirez is the Commander of the US or if that happens in a couple of books but I think it is right.

Been a minute since I read all the books. Like when skin game came out.

What is the difference between secret and private as far as rpol coding?

Re: OOC:

Hello folks. I'm playing a Wizard and Deacon of the Catholic Church. His job in life is to be mistrusted by the Church, the White Council, and pretty much every supernatural power.

Think a mid-20's Michael Carpenter with magic instead of Amoracchius.

Anyway, I'm looking for PCs to build history with. I'd like significant enough events to build an Aspect or two around, but I'm more than happy just to create familiarity and backstory. Alex (or Xander to some) is a contemporary of Father Forthill's at Saint Mary of the Angels, and a member of the White Council (despite the disapproval of many of their members).

Private show up to the intended recipient (or recipients) in orange, with brackets, so it's immediately obvious to him he has received a private line. Secret shows up as ordinary text.

Nora may be a good one for you to talk to.

Also, for those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure:

It's a real tearjerker of a Dresden Files short story, if you know the context.

NEW READER - do not read the above link until you've read the books referenced. Seriously. Calling it radioactive level of spoilers as it does is still not enough of a warning.

Re: OOC:

Good morning.

Everyone, when making group PMs, don't add me. I'm already in all PM threads. If you need me to read a PM not addressed to me, just tell me so. For all PMs to others, not to me, I just click Mark as Read. I'm not going to go read things I don't have to. Also, makes it more fun if you gang up on me in unexpected patterns.

Re: OOC:

Shared background wise, I don't know if anyone would have encountered Iris via social circles. That said, she does have an uncanny tendency to show up in places where something bad is about to happen just before things go sideways.

Hiya everyone, seems it got busy when I took a day off!

Nothing much to see here, just your average girl...what?  What katana giving off a heavenly aura of faith?  You're a katana giving off a heavenly aura of faith! :P

Re: OOC:

There's a possibility Marcus might have crossed paths with Iris before since he is from an old money family. But they're far from a local one so it's not guaranteed.

And hello other people who had not spoken up already when I first said hello to those who were there. Looks like we'll be getting a fair sized mob.

Re: OOC:

There's a good chance Dahlia's crossed paths with Alex and/or Nora, since she's been involved in the Church's supernatural dealings even before she was chosen to bear her Sword.

I don't know why but that's funny. Can't wait to see Dahlia in action.

Side note, I'm probably done for the day. Gonna crash and Nioh 2 releases tonight.

@DM.  What are your thoughts on concurrent threads? Caleb had their own thread that they could walk into the bookstore in, they don't technically have to wait around in my thread for Hamasa to finish with her first customer.

It is more work for you though, keeping track of multiple threads, so I don't want to assume.

Since time is being loosely tracked instead of precisely tracked, a character operating in one thread at any time is crucial. If you were in corbin's thread an hour before your thread and a fight broke out, it could severely affect whether one scene or the other could happen in the first place. Thereby starting a domino effect of actions that didnt take place.

Whichever scene takes the greater precedence will be the one to post in. Corbin thought he couldnt continue his thread without your information, so he moved to you. If you needed the warden's protection because your life was in danger, you would move to him. If there is ever confusion just ask me.

Over time im sure we as a geouo will naturally develop a good system that works but i think for now, you can be active in only 1 thread at a time unless you have minions.

May want to do it in a PM rather than the sheet. GMs can see when there's a new PM but not every time you update your sheet (or scratch pad).
