Soulgazing: How it Works in This Game

Below is going to be how Soulgaze will work. If any questions arise please message in OOC or PM.

Two people meet and one of them is a wizard!! This wizard wants to peer into the other's soul (Peeping Toms amirite?). With or without Permission, the soulgaze takes place. It could feel like an hour but it happens in a second. Behold the power of magic.

What does one see when soulgazing? Wizards often think they are going to find facts but instead they often find truths. What one sees is generally a story or scene taking place that TRULY describes themselves how they see themselves. Whether they realize it or not.

Lets take a character sheet and see how that would appear in a soulgaze.

Who am I...on paper:

Abrihim, roughly translated from the Original Tongue that came before all other Tongues. Son of God, not to be confused with your typical believer in Christ, Allah, or God. Abrihim is, in fact, God's son. All acts in history believed to be done on behalf of God, were done by Abrihim. Moses didn't split the Red Sea, Abrihim did on God's order and gave credit to Moses, beloved of the people. And so it was true, throughout history, others took credit for Abrihim's work for the Glory of God.

Abrihim on paper?

Mantle: Crown of the King - Abrihim doesn't actually wear a crown but wields God's Power as if it were his own. Even if only a fraction, but fraction it may be...mortals and NeverNever alike cannot handle it.

High Aspect: Purifier of Lost Souls - To guide the truly lost back onto the right path, or deliver them to their Maker. Either way, he purifies that which should not be.

Trouble: I Am Without Sin - Regardless of any action taken, Abrihim is pure. He never feels guilt, anger, envy, lust, etc...All actions are true and just even if they don't appear to be so from mortal perspective.

Other Aspect: His Sword of Righteous Fire, His Hand of Guiding Light, So on.

  Legendary

Stunts: They are all cool, let me assure you.

What does this look like, from Abrihim's point of view (even if he doesn't know he is this way consciously his mind and soul do subconsciously)

Abrihim meets the gaze of Alex Pierce (GM Comment: hahaha) Warden of South Africa. Alex Pierce initiates the Soulgaze, his specialty, and the two souls meet. An Exchange is made.

Alex sees a world of endless sand. Light shines down and the rest of the world darkens. Abrihim appears, alone and naked. Abrihim looks around at the endless sand in every direction and begins to walk...forward. Light from On High still reigns down upon only Abrihim. As Abrihim walks cuts appear on the soles of his feet. Blood spills behind him as he walks, naked and alone, and life flourishes in an array of beautiful colors. Abrihim never turns around to see the life he has created, he only ever looks forward, at the endless desert in the dark. He moves, ever faster placing one foot in front of the other and the soles of his feet rip ever wider. More and more blood spill creating beautiful life that Abrihim will never see, as he hurries forward trying in vain to grow life from the endless sands.

----
Explanation: The singular light shining down upon Abrihim but not the rest of the world signifies his importance and the difficulty of his mission. God is giving Abrihim light, his only child but not the rest of the world which he also loves. Abrhim has an unobtainable mission signified by the endless desert. Abrihim is guiding lost souls as seen by the life flourishing in his wake, but the is irrelevent to his mission. He is attempting to save every lost soul (denoted by the endless sand as well). Not seeing the fruits of his labor, he moves faster (He isn't actually moving faster he is just he forever, since the birth of man). While his mission isn't without fruit, he will never achieve his mission of saving every lost soul.

Must have a soul for soulgazing to work (which most things do)
If you win a soulgaze by 3 shifts, 2 pieces of information are provided by the loser. 1 piece by the winner.

If you win a soulgaze by 5 shifts or more, 2 pieces of information must be provided by the loser along with an explanation of at least one of the pieces. 1 Piece of information must be provided by the winner.

All other results 1 piece of information each.

You may voluntarily provide more information to gain Fate.
For every 2 pieces of information provided ABOVE the required amount, you gain 1 Fate.

On your sheet just write:
1 Fate: Soulgaze +2 info (Person soulgazed with) [link to post for extra credit but not needed]

Soulgaze is a contested roll of Focus.
