When you recruit her in DA:Origins and she tells you about what drove her to join your group.

Re: OOC Discussions

Oh! Yes.

I can see Mikhail examining the implications of Loran's claims, perhaps leading to introspection to his role within the Chantry and the Circle.

I presume I'm the best climber, so I suggest it's me who goes down there.

Re: OOC Discussions

Hmm, just read it again.
I think I may have misunderstood.
We are not at the high plateau looking down the escarpment, but rather on the down side of it ? And they were incapable of pushing the cart up ?

Re: OOC Discussions

GM can we have a quick clarification on where we are in relation to the cliff and cart? Are we coming upon it from the base of the cliff at looking down on it from the top of the cliff.

Personally I read it as us approaching the cliff from the base and find the cart turned on its side up against or near the base of the cliff this the group as a whole are at the base not the top of the cliff?

Think that makes sense

Re: OOC Discussions

Okay, you folks are on a path, with a low slope to your east. The slope meets the base of the escarpment/plateau about 40 yards from your position. If you walk up the slope, you will come to the base of the escarpment, which rises as a cliff about 10-20 yards to the top.

The cart is laying oddly against the base of the escarpment, and it appears pretty much intact from your vantage point.

No worries; the initial post was likely less than clear.

I inserted my clarification into the original post.

The plan stands, though, approach on foot and be covered by the others.

Re: OOC Discussions

Sorry, I just cannot visualize the scene.

I cannot grasp the position of that cart or that odd angle.
I was assuming they tried to push it up the cliff, which was impossible to do. Maybe it got stuck somehow on a piece of rock or anything. Anyway, they were incapable to budge it anymore so they left it there.
The cart's wheels are not on the slope nor on the cliff plane, but somewhere in between ?
On the other hand the cart seems to block sight to an entrance of sorts into the cliff face, maybe into a sprawling 'dungeon' / hideout.

Fost tries to stealthily approach and take a peek behind the cart into the 'cave'

Re: OOC Discussions

Sorry about that. I included a diagram in the Group 1 map position. Take a look.

Basically, the angle is such that the cart should fall at least onto the bottom wheel (so that it would be leaning away from the cliff wall, not against it), but it's being held in the current position.

Rather than waiting for the call to roll and a few days until everybody had actually rolled, I just added one. If it's not needed then it's essy to discard ^^

Producing a small light source on the end of a staff would be an incidental spell, if you gents don't have a torch between you.

I do, in fact, have some torches.  It will, however, quickly prove inconvenient to hold a torch while attempting to fire my bow.
