Hahaha, I went back and read the first posts but couldn't find anything. Honestly it would make Tyrus' dislike for the Chantry even more believable.
I also like the choice to let the girl be possessed by the demon instead of the mage.

I figured it was part the demon's desire to want to be in the visage of a beautiful mortal, and part of Fenwithe's desire to have his beloved Fantasy in unspoiled physical form. Had the ritual that night been completed, Bad ThingsTM would've happened. (For one, she was going to have her coven possess all of the women of the farmstead, except for Ginny, who went mad rejecting her original overtures. They were going to keep her around for their own sadistic amusement. With the men enthralled, they would've started enthralling anyone who passed by.)

Oh, and, aside from Tyrus, all of the PCs have a residence in town. Tyrus is the visitor, and, yes, that small room at the inn has been draining his coffers. :)

Well dang. I'm gonna have to try and ride the wave of cheers and get a cheaper room.

Fear not, should Erin learn of your destitution, she can secure you a bed back at her family's farm. You may or may not be required to help out though.

Also, speak for yourself, maybe my mind playing tricks on me, but I believe I was getting paid my salary during this adventure or something.

How much would it cost to buy something? I remember in "The Arl's Ransom" we could pay 50 gold to buy a town house in Lothering (If we can trust that mage)

Re: OOC Discussion II

Yup! The four-room house, purchase, is exactly that. 50gp (i.e., 5,000sp) will get you your own townhome or cottage in or around the village. Or, you could instead rent it for 500sp/month. Alternately, you can rent an apartment (in a building owned by someone else) for 75sp/month.

Re: OOC Discussion II

Good to know and man renting is expensive...

Also I think its Denerim, not Lothering where we can buy a house for 50g

Re: OOC Discussion II

The book is very vague about it, so I had to do some back of the envelope calculations on it. The idea is that each room in a rented place costs a little more than half the value of a nightly room at the inn (i.e., 1.25sp per room), since you're fully responsible for your own upkeep. So, 2 rooms is 2sp/night, or 75sp/month. For the four-room house, I increased the price a bit more, since that's a stand alone building or a townhouse, which will have space for work.

And, for Lothering, I probably should lower the prices a bit. Those were meant to be generic-ish.

So, let's go with 60sp per month (15sp per week) for a two-room apartment, and 200sp per month (50sp per week) for a four-room townhouse or cottage in Lothering.

FYI, I'm on vacation right now (10th Anniversary trip with the missus...gone to Vegas to see the NASCAR races this weekend. :) ); I do have time to check posts, but I may be a bit slow on the response.

It looks like folks are ready to move on, so we'll conclude Story 201 here.

I'm going to award you 100 bonus exp for delivering Fenwithe to Lothering, and another 400 exp for the successful conclusion of the Story. That should give everyone 7,450 exp.

What a week... Ok lets see about that. So to drive the wagon? I have ridding and a truckload of stamina to walk. Nothing about wagons (if there is any such skill have yet to check). But anyhow, Erin would be happy wherever. Will take first watch if that's alright though.

ED: Turns out there is, based on STR I have 2. I suppose we can have our good drive it, doubt he will just have 2 or less strength.

Erin drives, Fost rides Tyrus and Wendoll can switch between sitting on the wagon and walking. Not like I have any strength or constitution to speak of...

And I even have the focus.
I suppose it depends on how rough the road will be or indeed if we encounter something that requires challenges in that regard.
I expect Wendoll and Arnie to scout around as they usually do.
Someone on horse to be able to react quickly.
The rest really around that cart to protect/watch over our prisoner.

Seeing reluctance among the others, Ser Ragnall will drive the cart. His prisoner, his responsibility and all. (He's like Fost - he much prefers the saddle.) He'll gladly take occasional relief, though, even to just stretch his legs in transit.

So, it looks like we have Wendoll & Arnie scouting head, Fost on horseback just ahead of the tumbrel, Ser Ragnall driving, Tyrus alternately riding passenger or walking alongside, and Erin walking alongside (and, to Ser Ragnall's hope, occasionally spelling him as driver).

On a side note, you would all know that the Old Imperial Highway isn't fully intact (and some of you would know it wasn't fully completed by the Tevinter Empire; some sections were completed later). There are sections that have fallen beyond modern capabilities to shore up or repair, requiring travelers to go to ground from time-to-time. A number of stretches on the west bank of Lake Calenhad and some sections traversing the Frostbacks are in disrepair, but there is at least one section on the east bank of Calenhad (your route) that requires bypassing; it's supposed to be marked.

Onvioulsy, Private Lines have entered this game.
Most unfortunate, simply put: I hate it.
The game is slow as it is (which is fine), to then read mono-phrases is
.. well, extremely boring.
Imho.

Nothing to add IC, nothing to react to IC atm.

Fine. Sometimes, though, private conversations are necessary within the game, especially when requested.

The whole point of me posting it in the game thread is to provide an opportunity for folks who may want to eavesdrop or join in. If Fost respects the privacy of the conversation, good on him. I'm trying to move it along quickly within the bounds of RL smacking me around.
