Re: Open Chat

Here is what the book says about adjusting stats.

Basic Rulebook, pg. 22:
-Strength may be lowered by magic-users in order to raise Intelligence, and by clerics in order to raise Wisdom.
-Intelligence may be lowered by fighters, dwarves, halflings, thieves, and clerics in order to raise a prime requisite of their class.
-Wisdom may be lowered by magic-users, fighters, dwarves, elves, halflings, and thieves in order to raise a prime requisite for their class.
-Dexterity may not be lowered, though it can be raised if it is a prime requisite.
-Constitution and Charisma may not be raised or lowered.

Wow thanks for that Salochin, that makes a difference to half the team, at least. No change to CHA, yikes. Guess I'm the face man lol.

Re: Open Chat

So I have been searching for information on where on the world map this adventure takes place.
And so far I have struck out. If anyone has a link to share or ideas please let me know.

What I do know its in the area of the B1 Keep of the Borderlands. But that's about all the info I have.

Regarding the B1 Keep of the Borderlands - I too have not found a map that shows where on Mystara this lines all up.

Re: Open Chat

On a separate note, I know the world is crazy these days.
I just want to remind everyone that the goal is to log-in and post daily.
This means in chat, in IC or PM - something to show me your active.

Just logging is not going to make this game as great as it can be. :)

best regards and be safe.

Oh crap. That means I have to return my Cha to 15 and drop my INT back to 13. He'll still make  for a good wizard, but now's he'll be likeable. Hmm... change of plans on his personality, then.

Re: Open Chat

I know right. I had CHA:18 and was going to put it everywhere, but had to rewind lol.

The group looks really well balanced so I thought I'd take an Elf, which has a bit of everything, to maintain that balance :)

"Boo hoo! My character is a charming, lovable fellow now! What a waste of STR/INT/DEX!"

Re: Open Chat

Don’t forget you Character Descriptions, this info does not need to be region specific but an idea of the personality, morals and why they are the way they are is needed if you want good quality Roleplaying and the quests and adventures to be more than just a treasure hunt.

So...

*crickets, crickets*

How's everyone else doing today?

Comfortably sitting at home and watching Netflix?

I, for one, have agreed to join a Shadowrun game, so I will cracking open my 20th Anniversary book and learn the rules.

Re: Open Chat

Ok, cool.

Personally, I don't think there is much to worry about. The only people who have been at risk so far are those who are already ill or weakened. That's mostly elderly or sick people.

The mortality rate is about 2% (and that's with ill old and sick). Which means if you do get infected, you have a 98% chance to make it. That's a good save! =)

Heck, most people only have very minor symptoms and they don't even feel it.

And the media is just crazy, but they sell more papers when people are scared.

Stay clean! It's all going to be fine in a few weeks time. =)

Re: Open Chat

Assuming a policy-lite approach, 80% of the population gets it and that's still about 6 million dead in the US alone. Not to mention that the mortality rate is assuming due care, but with only 900,000 beds a bump in the curve will put millions of very ill people back into their homes to try and tough it out.

I hope you're right, and it is possible that it wont be all that bad, but the downside is much worse than you think.
