Salochin stands a head shorter than most men, but he is broad in the shoulders and very stout ... so he weighs perhaps half again a grown man's weight. His plate armor is a dull gold color and has a large horsehair tail that rises and falls from the crown of the helm like a plume. This marks him as a veteran of the dwarven Clan Wars. He wears his beard and mustache in an unkempt manner, and often reaches up to run a hand through the coarse, gray hairs when he is lost in thought.
Among his earthly possessions, he cherishes his two-handed axe more than all of his other possessions ... a gift from his father.
Salochin, son of Alochin, is of the Hurwarf clan. Recently, this clan is notable for being on the losing side of recent Clan Wars. After losing the campaign the Hurwarf alone refused to pledge loyalty to Everast XVI, and so found themselves exiled from the Rockhome.
Without a proper mountain to call home, the Hurwarf have been displaced. It is Salochin's honor to journey out on his own into the world of men ... seeking a new home for this insular dwarven clan to call their own.
He tends to be proud, impatient, haughty, and bears grudges longer than most. He respects deeds rather than pretty words ... preferring action to deliberation in just about every possible circumstance.
