Epilogue 2 - Where are they now?

Lemak was warmly welcomed by the Storm Bulls at the Block, including the brother of Norajia. Their celebration turning to fierce determination when he told them about the chaos monster lurking at the shrine to Waha.

A group of about 10 mounted warriors followed Lemak, Tuari, Belina and Thangar to the shrine. It had been thoroughly desecrated by the creature's venom and filth, but the monster itself was gone without a trace. For how long it would hide, none knew.

Within a few days, the Dragonewt known as Klanth-and-utuma awoke, shook his head back and forth, and presented Norajia with a small piece of hollow bone.

"Twice you help me," he said to the healer. "When you need help from K'shreesaas,  you blow this. If I can, I help."
He then pivoted and trudged to the north until he was out of sight.

Belina followed Tuari to his clan in the Bison tribe. She was welcomed due to Tuari's protection, very suspiciously at first but gradually was accepted, she even began to smile after a time. Tuari's reputation brought favor to the clan and he continued to rise in fame, his prominence matching his size. Belina was ever at his side.

Lemak returned to the silver fleece and continued to serve the clan, ever watchful of the chaos that could be lurking anywhere. His skills as a chaos fighter continued to improve in the service of the Desert Wind.

Norajia returned to the sables of Roneer, who have opposed the Lunar occupation. Reunited with her sisters who rushed to her with glee, she was relieved that they had survived the terrible winter. The eldest was now betrothed, and her little sister Varanak was offered thanks to the white lady that Norajia had returned.

Mabwe returned to the Morokanths with fresh gern to replace those lost during the great winter, their minds erased by strange magic and put to honorable labor digging roots from the hard ground. He served the Morokanths with wisdom as their shaman, taking the place of the irascible Forntiss, whose spirit often still came to nag him.

Each of the heroes returned to great acclaim after the long hard years they were gone. And, except for Norajia, each of them over time  began to notice something strange. Whether tying a knot or skinning a hide or throwing a javelin, they noticed that their left hand was as strong and as skillful as their right.

In 1625, even from distant Prax the ascension of the Brown Dragon was visible as it demolished the Lunar forces seeking to tighten their magical grip over Genertala, sounds of clashing thunder coming minutes later than the visible destruction.
And each knew that they had played a role in the coming of that great and terrible event. The future of the hero wars and of the fate of Glorantha lay ahead, what other roles they might play, who could say?
