Fair enough. Alas, now we don't get to see Theaker drawn into playing To The Health Of The Admiral on what we can only hope is corn liquour...

In answer to inquiries.

At present, Dr. Bliant is the only PC who has definitely left the game. The character will continue as an NPC for the foreseeable future.

Frank Smith hasn't logged into the game for over a week and I've been puppeting him to keep the other thread going, but I haven't given up hope yet.

Okay.

Thomas has expressed his intention to go see Sheriff Stoughton.
Dr. Bliant has indicated he will talk to Reverend Windom.
James, I believe, wants to see the Sheriff.
Christine has gotten into the car.

I will assume someone asked Baxter where the two men can be found. Windom's house is next to the church. Stoughton is sitting on his porch at the other end of the green. The whole village takes up only a few acres, so everything is in easy walking distance.

I think Theaker, Christine and Dr. Bliant were headed to see the preacher.
I thought we were going to walk, but Christine appears to want to drive there, so we will drive! She is always right!

I think if everything is a short stroll away Christine is trying to pile as many scabby impoverished dogs and children onto the car as possible for a ride across the village. Bonding with the locals!

No I can't see what's going on. Yes I'm still adding commentary. :D

Christine go ahead. James was thinking he was doing most of the talking and someone else needed a chance. Sorry, if he was dominating the scenario.

Just thought I'd add in here (as an archaeologist) that archaeologists' innate tendancy to save the archaeology rather than themselves is a known Health & Safety issue that gets factored into courses in the commercial sector.

If everyone intends to exchange everything that happened in the woods and in the village, I'll open the two separate threads to everyone.

If you want to keep secrets, let me know in the Private Messages.

Hearing no objections, I have revealed the previously hidden threads Village of Blackwater Creek, Reverend Windom's House, Sheriff Stoughton's House, and Blackwater Woods to all.

Presume that the various investigayors have narrated all of these details and carry on. Additional discussion of events is encouraged.

Props dept.! Feel 100% free not to share with George if it's just habitual Theaker caution/sneakery rather than forgetting, but I'm pretty sure Christine did bring a couple of books on local folklore back from the Roades camp, and maybe something else?

Visual imagination/memory says 'small brown canvasback book' but I don't know if that's worth anything. They'd be by her bed, so if she did forget she could mention finding them in the morning. Or not mention them, but look up M for 'Mother goddesses' and make herself protective folk charms whilst everyone else goes off and gets et whilst gathering another jar of critters...

Reviewing the thread on the Roades Camp, it seems Christine brought two books and a couple of notebooks back. She hadn't time to do more than note the titles of the books before heading to the village.

Books! Incidentally, if anyone ever wants any of their props kept track of, just ask me where they were last seen - it's one of my many finely-honed and entirely useless talents. The prop obsession did save a PC from getting murdered once, though (and another time caused a building to catch fire. with my PC inside).

I think it was during a summary bit between scenes, so easier to miss anyway. The Theakers' long guns are still in the car, if we're thinking to stay up and take potshots at passers-by. Frank got George's shotgun out earlier, but changed his mind and stashed it in the tent. George's rifle's still against the comfy tree.

Sorry, I was out of the town yesterday for the first time in months, checking the onsite finds archive for a World Heritage excavation...do I understand we're investigating the cave at once due to Theaker's use of the books' indeces but leaving Christine behind? If so, Bee will be left with her.

Glad to hear it! I already felt bad about leaving her to guard camp all morning. Still confused as to what exactly is happening/what Theaker found out though.
