Sorry to hear about your divorce, Domino.  I'm having a rough patch in my relationship and it's all very draining.

Good luck with that, my friend.    Like hobbies, relationships ought to be the fun in our lives, not the chore!

Such is the problem when they last for a decade plus, there are good times and bad, and the bad ones can be quite painful.

If nothing else, having relationship drama should help me be in character for Felicia.

Still here, and my condolences for the divorce, Domino. I hope you’ll find everything you need in the next chapter of your life.

True that.

Absolutely: part of this process is the rebuilding.

Thank you, both.

Re: Slowly getting there...

As often in life, I'm late to my own party-- but let's do this thing! Thank you all for sticking around even in light of the inactivity and real-life difficulties. I'm working half the hours I used to and surviving grad school thus far, so I'm feeling ready for this again.

@Black Cat, so sorry you had to wait forever for that simple reaction on my part. @Everyone, I'm feeling there ought to be one final round of actions and then we shut the books on this epilogue... as a villain's dark reign begins. (Fitting for October!)

I'll not participate in any further Epiloge shenanigan's, then ... I'll wait for the next official storyline to begin.

Re: Slowly getting there...

I can totally understand hitting the eject button. You've all been more than patient. These final rolls, if everyone chooses to make them, will help us set the tone for the next adventure: defining the overall mental/emotional headspace each hero or vigilante is currently at, following the final battle with Carnage. We're right at that finish line...!

Honestly, if Felicia isn't in kind of a weird headspace, am I even playing her right?

Really regretting giving this epilogue a pass, but I couldn't imagine how April could have done anything else.

Looking forward to making my new grand entrance in my all-new and all-improved costume.

Epilogues

The Watcher:
Domino, you can roll either to try and help Carrion cure Morbius... or to bring the former Carnage Family members to justice.

Please, are you asking for just one roll?  to wrap up this sub-story?
If so, do I choose one of those options, then make one appropriate roll?  and you'll extrapolate a wrap up from that?

@Domino Precisely-- one roll and I'll narrate you out.

Epilogues

I'm still adjusting to the grad student life, but those game posts are coming. I just have to get used to writing being a part of the weekly rhythm again. And the goal is for there to be far less "sorry for the delay" posts like this as we go forward. Thanks all.

Re: Epilogues

(Somehow I've got midterms for grad school tomorrow. How do I already have midterms?)

As I finish up the post getting Domino situated, it occurs to me that the quickest way to move this over the finish line is to ask for a final roll from each of the remaining players as well. I'll just go ahead and suggest what those actions could be, and lay out my notes on the table for everyone to see where it was all going:

- Daredevil and Moon Knight: I really just wanted this to be a trial by fire that tested your teamwork. I'd suggest a roll from each of you to defeat the villains, if that sounds good-- I know it's vague, so use whatever dice seem appropriate. And maybe the success or failure of it all could set the tone for your working relationship to come-- whether DD and MK will have a solid rapport with each other after this, or butt heads more often than not.

- Black Cat and Venom: I really like the idea that you two working for an unsuspecting Aunt May could be part of the status quo in the next adventure. Again, a final roll to capture the villain(s)-- in this case, the burglar(s)-- could finish out the epilogue. I have at least some idea of how it's all going to come together.

- Mayhem and Spider-Woman: One of you has already long since wrapped your epilogue story, and the other I think(?) was sitting out the epilogue. I'll check in with you both over PM to see where we should start you off in the next adventure.

- *Elsa: If you want to narrate yourself arriving at the Sanctum to help Wong, like we discussed over PM, you can totally do that. You can even throw in a dice action against the Mindless Ones if you want. To avoid risking my (unintentional and apologetic) further delaying your entry into the game, I can just trust that we'll figure out how you came to be involved in all of this as we go. Sound good?

I've officially blocked off Friday nights for writing, so fingers crossed that we can get this circus going again in (somewhat) regular fashion. Midterms prep, a new work schedule, and the unexpected arrival of a new kitty into my life have just made things hectic lately.

*Sorry, I might have forgot-- did we ever pick Elsa's font color?

Re: Epilogues

Just checking in for the Friday update. My Thanksgiving is happening today (and Friendsgiving tomorrow) with a big paper due Monday. Maybe no game post this week but should have something new up for you all before long. (Thinking it will be the conclusion for Black Cat & Venom. DD/MK and Elsa after that.)

Re: Epilogues

I appreciate that, DD-- I can't deny it's been a struggle finding the time/energy lately, but these players make it worth it. Looking forward to seeing where you and MK end up at the end of your shared epilogue-- seems only fitting if it's the craziest finale yet!

Re: Epilogues

I've got something in the works for DD and MK, but probably won't have it up until next Friday or so. It's finals week for me, but then I've got a nice winter break after that-- good time to finally get things started for Mission #2.

Grad school starts up again on Monday, but I've got the next adventure's outline ready and ideas for a number of scenes. Once I get the final rolls for the Epilogue in, we'll get this thing going. Expect whatever comes next to be crazy, as always!

IT BEGINS...!

I don't suppose anyone will mind that I've gone ahead and posted the intro for the new adventure. I expect the Epilogue will wrap up shortly anyhow-- totally fine if the last couple of posts happen out of sync with the new thread. Assume for now that no PC's died or were horribly maimed, and that anyone who left town is back in New York.

What I need from the players: a short post detailing where you are and what you're doing in the hours following Osborn's press conference, plus your choice whether to answer or ignore the stranger's calls. Dice actions to follow once things really get rolling. I'll caution that I will be slowly getting things moving here again, with my posts happening on Saturday evenings. We'll be using an open action order like last time around, and everyone will have approximately a week to do posts. We'll finalize Milestones and any rule proposals/revisions before dice rolls.

I would hope to hear whether everyone intends to join the new adventure by 1/20/2024, but if someone happens to miss this before the week's up, just let me know. You've all waited long enough on me-- I'll return the favor, if possible.

And welcome back aboard the SS Marvel Mania! Keep your hands in the vehicle at all times.

If anyone else saw the recent post with Domino NOT finding MK's base, just know it will be edited. I missed something.
