I think we're good with the results.  But good to know for next time.

If we can find someone to craft the dragon hide, are we looking at a shield for Bandalor or armor for Zanben? I could see either working out to our advantage. Bando makes a good anvil to Zanben's hammer, but Z is always right in the thick of it.

I don't think we can afford armor.  I thought we were trading the bulk of the hide to get the shield.

Yeah, that's probably true... I guess we're waiting on prices from a craftsman.

I'm going to get the family up to the mountains next week Thursday-Sunday. Its front country camping, but I'm not sure about cell service. I'll be around as much as I can.

Good to have you back, buddy. Your attacks have Opportunity and automatically Crit if they hit. That said, Gwen's got this B held for now if you want to talk to her later about why she was trying to buy your cousin.

Do they have Labatt's in the south? I'm drinking one right now, FYI.

No Labatt's, but I've learned leaving a military unit with some respect means being showered with whiskey.

I can never drink it fast enough, and that's alright.

You guys want to let this drow go? Gwen can't justify just snuffing her. I feel like she's said her bit and while there's probably something to fear from letting her go, I can't quite see murdering her in cold blood. Give her a few coins, the clothes on her back, and a swift kick in the rear?

Edit: What's her deal, anyway... swords & armor? Spellbook? Holy symbol? Wand of Orcus?

Bandalor is likewise not serious about killing an unarmed captive;  despicable race or not.

So, do we head off to the Cave location after getting the dwarf to safety, or murder and loot our way through the rest of the stronghold first?

Right, I guess there's three options: bail now and head for the cave, camp (and level up) before storming the castle, or push through from here. I kind of like the idea of taking 4th level for a test drive in what's left of Cragmaw, but I'm open to ideas.

If you want to try Cragmaw at 4th, we need to long rest.  I'm up for camping out and coming back in a different door, but they will likely find the dead king in short order.  I'm not sure if the flunkies will hang out for us to kill if they are kingless.  We could proceed at 3rd level and clean out the place until we need a long rest.

If Zanben ends up drinking the potions, I'll make them off the unclaimed ones we just found.

I'm assuming Bandalor will reunite with Gundren and stabilize him before we move on... right? Gwen is not someone you want as your medic.

Also, should we send a scout or two ahead? I'm itching to use invisibility...

Fun. I'll let the DM resolve Gundren's healing (possibly Zanben's, too?), then Gwen goes invisible and waits for Zanben to stealth the door at L-20.

I think the door to the south is one of the turrets. I do jigsaw puzzles by putting the edge pieces together first.

He's our up-front damage dealer, but he's not a classic sword-n-board fighter who can soak up hits... plus he's always first through the door. Gwen can take a shift at the front of the line if we can't quite get him back to full, and hopefully Bandalor can provide a little bit of the tankiness we're missing, especially when we get him his fancy shield.
