Reply to Gwen:

Imbert looks around a the corpses thoughtfully.  "We weren't looking for anyone specific, so I don't think it necessary this time.  The current town master will just have to take our word for it when we come seeking the coin he promised.  We should drag them out of the cave.  Make life a little easier for the vultures and crows.  'Tis better natural scavengers find them under the light of the sun, than something apt to dwell in dark caves has a large meal, right Bandalor?"

Once the decision is made, the group returns for town almost immediately. Traveling back will take a little more than a day so they figure if they start now they will make it back by early evening the following day. Since the Liberators Of Phandalin are on the job the roads are safer and quieter. They have been gone for little more than five days and the townsfolk are happy to see you all. You get settled into the Inn and are enjoying a drink when you see Daran Edermath enter. He walks over to the bar signals the tender and takes a seat next to you all. He turns to you all and says, "You get a chance to look into the trouble at Old Owl Well?"

Daran leans in closer to the group and says, "A necromancer huh? Foul sorcery to be dealing in. The dead and all I mean. The dead is suppose to remain dead if you ask mean. Unnatural tis I say.  Have you all ever heard of the Order of the Gauntlet? I have it on good order that the Gauntlet would be interested in people like you. People that know how to handle themselves and don't shite themselves at the first sight of evil.  You want me to pass along a message that you might be interested in joining an organization like that?"

[OOC] Assuming Zanben know very little about the of Order of the Gauntlet (Given a 1D20=5 history check)
Zanben leans towards Daran and asks in Elvish, to avoid looking dumb amongst the rest of his team.
"Sorry, I have never heard of them, please tell me about them."

After Daran fills Zanben in on who the Order of the Gauntlet are and what they are about, Zanben stands up shakes his head, throws his hands up in the air and says
"Nope, Nope, not my kind of people.  You all are welcome to join this grab-ass group of goodie two shoes, but I'm out of this one.  Anyways, it was good seeing you Daran, but it is time for me to drink, dance and be merry with all walks of life from the holy to the dismal."
He than pats both Bandalor and Imbert on the back as he passes them on his way over to relieve himself
"This Order sounds much more up your guys alley than my own."

Returning to the table,
"Jaskier, Lets really get this party started, what song do you have prepared for us tonight?  Gwen, need another ale?  Imbert, Bandalor, Daran you guys interested in a game of dice?"

As Zanben pulls out his dice to begin a game the door to the Inn burst open and one of the town folks comes in wrestling a diminutive creature. He pulls the thing over to where you sit in the Inn and plops Droop down in front of you. He turns and says, "Found this one hiding in the cellar of your new estate while we are doing some refurbishments. We was going to kill it being a goblin and all but he claims to be working for you all. I figured well tis possible stranger things been known to happen. Figured better check with you all first. Anyway House should be able to start living in another week or so slong as yer don't mind provments and work being done round ya. What you want me to do with this one? Have it hung?"

Jaskier grins widely and replies to Zanben
"Oh dear Zanben, I knew when I saw you passed out, naked in that road that I had a drinking mate for life!  And I agree with Zanben.  This Order of the Gauntlet sounds a little too stuffy and noble for my tastes.  I don't like being tied down...unless its some Duke's wife with her fingers at the knot.  But Bandalor...Imbert, you have my sword and viol on whatever adventure awaits us.  If you do decide to join, I will ride with you until the job is done.
And if you rise to be Lord Regents of the order, don't forget about your dearest friend Jaskier.  A travelling bard such as myself is always in need of coin, or at least a place to lie low every once in a while.  Well I do believe there's an ale waiting for me at the inn.  Gents...lady Gwen."

Jaskier, stiff from the long journey slides off his horse, stretches, and walks his horse over to the inn.

"Well friend Daran, there is no need to pass our interest on to the Order.  I respect the path they travel, but it is not the path we are destined to follow."  Imbert states to the old fighter.  When the goblin is brought in.
"This is Droopy, he decided the Redbrand way was not for him and was instrumental in freeing the trapped villagers.  It was an oversight to not tell you about him, but he will be staying at in the basement for the duration.  Villagers kidnapped by humans and freed with help from a goblin.  Interesting times we live in, eh?"  Imbert replies.
"Bandalor, should we tell the good sister what the banshee was able to remember?  And collect the payment from the good town master for the Orcs?"

The Villager looks a bit astonished by the admission and says, "Yes I will see the goblin is returned to the grounds immediately." He then turns and takes his leave with the goblin in tow who waves at you as he is brought from the in...

"Who needs fancy factions, any way?" she slurs, punching the goblin playfully in the arm. "Our legend can stagger around under it's own weight. The Hammer of Tresendar will fall on the foes of Phandalin when and where we please... and the hammer will probably wake up there on its face in the morning. Speaking of morning, where is Bandalor? I owe him several drinks."

"Good evening gorgeous, we are quite well.  Since we've last spoke, we've rid your town of the orcs, an evil wizard necromancer and even met that banshe you asked us to help you with.  After some extensive flattery and the help of that comb we were able to gain some details about the spell book you were looking for.  My apologies, but she traded the book to a necromancer, crap what was his name . . . Oh yeah, Tsernoth from the city of Iriaebor more than a hundred years ago, but she doesn't know what has happened to it since.  We are celebrating back at the inn, and I would love for such a beautiful elf to join us in our festivities.  I will tell you all about our adventures."

[OoC]: Okay, Zanben is updating Garaele on the Banshee storyline, Imbert is updating the Townmaster on the orcs (and getting paid?), we declined Sildar and Daran's offers of professional affiliations...

Are there other storylines in town to pursue? Do we need to check in with Liane on the goods from the manor or materials for repair? I'm happy to RP that if needed.

And I assume Sildar and Bandalor are ready for us to go after Gundren. That means a visit to the druid near Thundertree for a lead on Cragmaw Castle and maybe a supply run to Neverwinter while we're up there.

Am I missing anything?

OoC;  Yes, getting paid for the Orcs, then I'll divide that cash from the last couple quests.  We didn't actually say 'no' to Sildar, and Imbert at least is still considering joining up.

So far we have:
Tresnado Manor (in town):Iarno's disappearance and Redbrand HQ
Sleeping Giant Tap House (in town): Redbrand Hideout
Old Owl Well (2 days northeast):  Undead

Cragmaw Castle (unknown, start at Thundertree w/ Druid): Gundren and goblins
Wyvern Tor (Triboar trail, on the way to Old Owl Well?): Orcs
Bribe a banshee (Comyberry, near Old Owl Well):  Banshee

Really just leaves the Druid.  If you want to go have a chat with Liane, go for it.  I don't have any need to go to Neverwinter, nor the cash to buy anything exciting.

Sister Garaele takes up the offer from Zanben and joins him at the Inn for some merriment. What better way to settle a travelers nerves than food, friends and drink.

Imbert looking a very serious lot heads over to the Townmaster Hall. There he happens upon Sildar and the Townmaster. The Townmaster notices Imbert and says, "Ahhh you return." He glances around Imbert motions with his hand about something small and says, "Um she isn't with you is she? The little one. She is very um ambiti... I mean intimidating. Yes yes. Well I do see her not anyhow. Yes well I hear that you have had a run in with the orcs at Wyvern Tor. Exterminated and or driven them off? Very well very well. Seeing as what you all have done for the city I shall take your word on it. Here you are as agreed upon. 100 Gold." He hefts a pouch into your hand and it clinks with smooth sound of coin.

At this time Sildar approaches and interjects, "I agree with the Townmaster here you have done more than your fair share for this town. So much so that I hope you take the town up on their offer to reside here at the old manor house which I hear is coming along splendidly. Your little band I think can make this frontier town more prosperous than any tavern or smithy I imagine. If you won't join the Alliance than perhaps you may help me keeps things as safe as can be for the locals after Gundren is found. His brother are yet to return to town and stock up and no one seems to be able to pinpoint where they come and go to. But I imagine once Gundren is returned and this mine of his is up and running these folks maybe in need of some protection if the rumors about this place are to be believed. So what is it next for you all? Thundertree? I would suggest that perhaps you stop in Neverwinter and pick up some better suited steeds. The townsfolks are generous as they should be in letting you use their animals but those are work animals and impacts the lives of those that use them on a day to day basis. Since you are doing good for the community I will add 250 Gold to the purchase of new mounts and I suggest you you visit the Fig and Pig tavern in Neverwinter and look for a fellow named Felix. Once you have your steads give this man 10 gold and he shall see the townsfolks animals returned as you continue on your journey to Thundertree. Beware of Thundertree tis a cursed place since the eruption. Good luck in your travels my friend." Sildar then smiles claps you on the shoulder and puts a larger bag into your hand. Again you hear that smooth clink of coin and a heft that makes you think about giving up this adventurers life if for only a brief instance.

If you are serious about joining the Lords Aaliance then meet me at the Shrine tonight after Midnight." With tha he gives a glance at the townmaster then gives you a quick bow.
