Post looked good to me.  Now just wish I had taking playing cards as my gaming proficiency instead of Dragonchess haha.

Well, I’m sure Frida won’t mind either way ;)

This is shaping up to be a really interesting group! I can’t wait to get into some adventuring with you guys.

I'm sure ;)

I know that beginnings are hard to find the stride, but are we supposed to be continuing the intro ourselves, are we waiting for the DM to say something, are we waiting for someone else to comment?

Just curious.  I've only played a couple games on here and every start seems different ha ha.

Feel free to keep posting. We're waiting for Morrigan to finish his character sheet and make an initial post before I throw anything at you.

And for the "Temple" group, we lost Mouse and Jakkaru. I'm looking for players to take over their characters, but I'm willing to NPC them for a while if necessary. I'm planning to move things along in your story tonight.

Hello all. New player here so got some work to catch up on what the group has been up to.

I hope to be helpful. Are we two groups or just one ?.

I believe there are 2 groups, A and B.

I believe you are in group A, which is already started.  Group B, which I'm in, is still waiting but hopefully will start shortly.

No idea if/when our paths will ever cross.

Hopefully Morrigan is able to join soon.  We'll be hurting in melee combat if he doesn't.

Yah, new player though. Still learning 5th but i have alot of 3.5 experience. Really need to get my rpg fix going. My older ftf group don't want to meet face to face till covid 19 gets fixed.

 Glad to meet everyone.

Anyone have any idea of Morrigan's situation? He was pretty active not that long ago, and I'd really like to have him in the party since he's apparently present in the tavern. How long should we wait for him?

Nissa, with the two awake guards staying in their place and everyone else along the walls, you will only be able to get one bandit within the area of effect of your spell, and that will require you to move all the way into the room. It looks like everyone else is staying outside of the room. Do you want to revise your actions?

Regarding Morrigan, I don't know what happened to him. He hasn't logged on since last Tuesday. Go ahead and move along and he can catch up if/when he rejoins us.

Being the newbie player here i hesitate to state the obvious...We lost the edge of surprise on the two guards and soon said guards will be shouting to raise up the rest of men laying asleep.

That and the two thundering voices mysteriously echoing thru out the room.

While i (Mouse) might have a bit of melee skill, no way i was going first into a room of unknown purpose. I do hope the monk with us does not try to be a hero at this moment.

No idea.  Hasn't signed into the game since the 3rd.

Up to the DM I guess on how long he wants to wait, but I believe the game is still looking for players so maybe he'll find one.  He could always NPC him a bit too in hopes he shows up, but not even sure his sheet is done yet

Hello all,

I have just been added to the game as a replacement player/PC in response to an advertisement in the "Wanted - Players" thread. Harbek will be a Dwarven Fighter, which hopefully will fill a need in the party. I'll get started on Character Sheet stuff -- it shouldn't take too long.

I look forward to gaming with everyone. :)

Good to see you as well. That game crashed and burned so quickly that I was not able to develop Harbek as a character. When I read that this game was looking for a melee fighter as a replacement character, I thought of him. :)

Yah, I think that was my 1st game on here.  It seemed like it was going well and then poof, gone.

Unfortunately I've been in a couple other games and they've all ended more or less the same way.  Must be me I guess ha ha.

Sadly, that's just the way of things here on RPOL.  I've been playing here for years and can count the number of successfully long-running games I've been in on one hand with some fingers to spare.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself and really a question for the DM, but I was just wondering if we're going to simply move from one adventure to the next, or if there's a plan to introduce downtime activities and such to it? Not even sure if there's interest in such a thing, but I've personally always been curious to see how it worked.

All the campaigns I've been in in the past (which were mostly 3.5 so not even sure downtime was a thing really) were mission, market, next mission, market, etc...

Hmmm, i have played in a couple of long term games(one almost 3 yrs before the GM ran out of steam), the other is about 1.5 years sofar. Long running games is rare but good games/DMs are not easy to find either.
