Green Boxes

Green Box for "Fleeting Storm" / Parasitic Godhead

5 pair surgical latex gloves in paper wrappers.

A hard case containing a 7.62x51mm DSA SA58 OSW carbine with an 11" barrel, folding stock, EOTech red dot sight, a vertical foregrip, a sling and three spare 20-round magazines.

A ziploc bag containing twenty-four .45 rounds.

Four homemade pipebombs (likely stolen).

A yellowed laboratory notebook dated 1962. Will Brandley, the previous owner, was conducting studies on a material from a mine shaft in West Virginia. The substance is noted as being, "viscous, acidic and yellowish in color". +1% to Science (Geology)

A map of the local area in a military style map case.

A wooden box about 6 inches by 6 inches by 10 inches labeled "Ghost Wards." Inside is a packet of salt, a packet of rosemary, a bottle of clean water, 3 iron nails, a packet of grave dirt, and a small can of red paint.

Three pairs of ATN FIITS14 night vision goggles.

A paperback book: "Field Guide to Squids and Octopods of the Eastern North Pacific and Bering Sea". +1% to Marine Biology

A grimoire for summoning the Pretender-in-Feasting (likely stolen), with pages torn out (by Agent Kelsey).

An empty 9mm Glock 17 pistol with an faded post-it note attached saying "Emergency use only! Ballistics will match!"

A thick bundle of moth-eaten blankets. Unravelling them reveals an immaculate steel tuning fork. If struck against something solid, it produces a perfect C# note, and will not stop unless pressure is applied by human tissue. In the third round the note is allowed to ring out, everyone in audible range will start experiencing great discomfort and ear pain if they are not wearing ear protection, but with no lasting damage. In the fourth round, solid inanimate objects (walls, floors, ceilings, furniture etc) will start vibrating, and stopping the fork by touch will cause the individual 1d4 points of burning damage on contact with the metal. In the fifth round, everyone in audible range without ear protection will begin bleeding from the ears as their inner ears begin rupturing, for 1d6 points of damage. In the sixth round, this increases to 1d8 points of damage for those unprotected, and 1d4 for those with ear protection. Nearby structures will also begin to split and crumble. What happens in further rounds is the decision of the Keeper.

Boobytrap: an old 1950 RCA television capacitor with a standard wall plug. The capacitor is fused to a mount that will seat on most doorknobs. A few other modifications include a hyper-sensitive mercury switch that will cause the capacitor to discharge into the doorknob upon which it's seated.

A suitcase containing a disassembled Galil SAR Assault Carbine chambered for 5.56mm rounds, and three loaded 35-round magazines. It takes a successful Rifle skill roll to re-assemble the gun.

Blackmail material on a local political figure. The figure is still in power, but isn't much of political player. May prove useful if needed.

A Boston EMT uniform.

Green Boxes

Green Box for "Ardent Rain" / Meat Madness

A Mateba Model 6 Unica Autorevolver, in a leather shoulder holster. The semi-automatic revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum, and is fully loaded.

A drum that's been turned into a massive improvised pyrotechnic device. Stenciled on the side is a around pointing down. If opened it will be found to have been filled with an oil gas mixture as well as a homemade napalm. It is designed to set the mixture alight and then allow it to flow out a hole in the bottom.

A fifty round box of 9mm ammunition.

An opened paper box containing thirty-two 10mm rounds.

Eight unopened 50-round boxes of CCI Blazer .45 ACP 230-grain FMJ ammunition.

A poster displaying instructions on disassembling and reassembling a Kalashnikov rifle hangs on the wall of the Green Box. The text and labels are all in Russian, but the operation itself is simple enough to be virtually foolproof, and with enough practice can be done in less than thirty seconds.

Six shells which could be classified as either gigantic bullets or tiny artillery shells by a layman; someone with a military background will recognize them as 25mm rounds from a naval autocannon. The yellow-painted tips indicate them to be MK210 High Explosive Incendiary Tracers.

The Green Box contains a fully stocked reloading bench.

Surveillance video-tapes from various government installations in Washington D.C. (including the Library of Congress, Hoover Building and White House). All are dated 11 FEB 2011. About fifteen minutes into each tape the cameras shut down for four minutes before restarting - to show the interior of the wrong building...

It's almost as if the cameras and tapes were physically switched between each other while filming.

A thick three-ring binder full of surveillance photographs of varying quality. They all appear to be focused on a Catholic orphanage and its employees, engaged in mundane day-to-day chores. Certain street signs, addresses, and advertisements can be seen in some photos, which can be traced to Belfast. No writing or other justification can be found in the binder, but the final photograph has a single nun (not visible in any other photos) circled in red ink, next to a frantically scribbled notation: "HER".

A collection of badly printed dual-language Bibles with faded leather covers, their alternate pages in terrible English. The first person to read one cover to cover - taking 1D6 weeks -, and succeeding at a POWx2 roll will be able to permanently understand that language fluently, though not speak or write it (realising this for the first time costs 1/1D4 Sanity loss).

Copies in the set includes: Traditional Chinese, Dutch, German, Latin, Swedish, Korean, and a language that can't be identified...

Green Boxes

Green Box for "Angled Chalice" / Many Angles

Building is staffed by a single DG agent who opens the door and monitors the power on premises. It's an apartment building under construction kept (intentionally) under administrative hell. The partially-completed building has only one intact apartment, a large portion of which is filled with a commercial freezer.

A back-up generator is wired to turn on if the freezer ever fails. This will also fill the apartment with carbon monoxide in short order.

A copy of Codex Seraphinianus sits on the coffee table. Art, Occult or Anthropology to identify.

The apartment is clean and comfortable, with a fold-out couch, a TV (no cable or Internet) and a Blu-Ray player. The are some one or two decade old comedies and Season 5 of the Simpsons. A six pack of very old, very skunky beer sits in the fridge, though the two handles of Belvedere vodka in the freezer have held up better. There are plates and silverware in the dusty cupboards, but only plastic solo cups.

A cardboard box containing some 8-track tapes. These include:

The soundtracks for "2001 Space Odyssey", "Doctor Zhivago", "Barbarella" and "633 Squadron"

"Going Places" Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
"Closeup" Frankie Valli
"Greatest Hits" The 5th Dimension
"Galveston" Glen Campbell
"In Person" The Cannonball Adderley Quintet
"Someone Loves You Honey" Charley Pride
"My Woman, My Woman, My Wife" Dean Martin
"You Gotta Wash Your Ass" Redd Foxx's 1975 live comedy album.
"I've Found Someone of My Own" Cal Smith
"Come to the Fair" Kiri Te Kanawa

A note is attached to the freezer door:

"KEEP DOOR CLOSED, DON'T MIND MAURY"

Inside the freezer is a large pile of frozen meals, many expired. A human corpse sits in lotus position wearing a cowboy hat, with a note taped to its face and obscuring its features. The note reads: DO NOT TOUCH! - MAURY

The frozen corpse inflicts 0/1 SAN, 1/1d2 SAN if the post it is removed to reveal a rictus of too-large teeth.

There is another corpse, wearing a bullet proof vest with FBI on it and many bullet holes, hidden in the freezer in a large carboard box. 0/1 SAN if discovery. There is also a vial of black material, with another note: KEEP FROZEN, DO NOT THAW. The message repeats in Russian. Same hand-writing as "Maury's" note.

There is a book shelf with several cheap paperback romance novels, two out of seven Harry Potters, a first edition signed copy of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ("The answer is not really 42." is written next to Douglas Adam's signature) and:

"AFTER ACTION REPORT - INCIDENT IN FOREST AT BEREZNIK - MARCH 17TH, 1964"  - A report written by an unnamed Delta Green agent, who claimed to be cooperating with Soviet Intelligence assets. Describes an operation to ambush and kill a "coven of witches" somewhere deep in the forests of Bereznik, near Smolensk.
(English. Study time 2 hours. Anthropology +1%, Military Science: Land +1%, Occult +2%, Unnatural +1%, SAN loss 1d4. Notes and photographs in Russian teach the spell: Essential Saltes)

One of the kitchen cabinets serves as a weapons cache, holding:

- A crude pipe-bomb filled with black powder and nails.
- Harrington & Richardson 733 revolver
- A pair of black ostrich-skin cowboy boots, size 11. Tucked into the left boot is a Colt Detective Special wrapped in a wad of paper towels, and in the right is a 20-round box of .38 Special ammunition and a stiletto-style dagger, also wrapped in paper towels.
- A soft gun case containing a Benelli Nova Tactical 12 gauge shotgun, with ghost ring sights.
- A pair of Nagant M1895 Revolvers in a leather saddle bag. Both are loaded and there are roughly 50 odd rounds loose in the bottom of the bag.

In the back corner behind some old file cabinets someone has setup a server. The system is has no screen or input devices. The connections to it were run without the knowledge of the storage owners. It has a backup power source inside the server that is not evident to those without some skill related to electronics or computers. Attempts to physically access the system or unplug it will result in the system reformatting itself and its drives.

Green Boxes

Junk Yard in West Virginia

Green box is a junkyard. Most items are scattered around in vehicles. The proprietor is a friendly who watches over everything with his gun.

A stale carton of Pall Malls.

Twenty eight kilograms of opium, in one-kilo paper wrapped sticky bricks. About $700 per kilo.

Eight exterminators' jumpsuits, with a non-existent pest control company's logo embroidered on the left breast of each. Also included are eight respirators which conveniently conceal just enough of one's face to conceal the wearer's identity. The van is in good working condition.

[Search 50%]: A suitcase-sized blue and white metal container, apparently an IED, riveted together roughly from some form of sheet metal. If cut open, it is filled with black powder and random mechanical parts and chunks of parts as shrapnel. The detonator is extremely crude, being a flaregun facing into the powder with its trigger tied off to a tripwire.

An aircraft mechanic will recognize that the shrapnel is composed entirely of parts from a small plane's engine, likely a Cessna or similar. The outer shell is also made from a plane fuselage.

A fully loaded (10 rounds) Glock 26 "subcompact" 9mm pistol, with a rubber ankle-holster.

An Ak-47. Inside a shoebox are 2 rounds.

"War and Peace". This book has been turned into a secret box, the pages glued together, hollowed out, and stuck to the hardback cover to make a hiding place. Inside is about an ounce of pot.

The discarded frame of a large trauma bed, similar to the equipment used by ambulance personnel.

3 vials containing a clear fluid. The fluid is an experimental muscle relaxant developed by Majestic-12. Once injected, it allows the user to perform incredible feats that only a professional gymnast or contortionist might be able to manage. The user can easily climb and jump onto roofs, stretch their limbs to a limited degree or fit into small places (+35 to Jump, Climb and Dodge). The drawback is that it is developed from Mi-Go technology, and causes permanent damage to muscles. For every incredible feat, the agent must make a Luck roll. If he succeeds he manages the feat unharmed, but if the roll fails, he suceeds in doing in his aims, but the fluid consumes 1 point of Strength.

A VHS, tape, labeled "X". It is recording of a statuesque man sexually coupling with a protoplasmic woman, who dissolves and reforms into new shapes and configurations throughout the tape. The woman is clearly nonhuman, and slavishly devoted to the man, presenting him with a bouquet of new orifices to viciously violate over and over.

Visible in the background is a poster of a robed figure clasping a small quartz crystal, instructing the viewer to FIND YOUR TRUE LIGHT - ENOLSIS

(Unnatural +1, 1d4 SAN)

- Last Resort tape

- A VHS videocassette; something in cramped, illegible letters is written on the lable in green ink. If played, the grainy tape begins with a group of young people (late teens through twenties) gathered in a poorly lit room. A middle-aged man is talking to a frightened young woman, attempting to convince her that the body is not real and that no actual harm can come to her. She timidly repeats his assurances as she lays down on a mattress in the center of the room. The others in the room are chanting softly in some strange, guttural tongue. The older man places a revolver in the woman's hand, and she continues to mumble to herself as she works up her courage. Then she fires a round into her head. The chanting stops.

After a few moments, the man grabs the woman's limp form and begins kissing her. On closer inspection, it appears he is actually breathing into her with great physical effort. Finally he backs away, exhausted. Within moments, the woman opens her eyes and rises from the bed, grateful and astonished to be unharmed. However, it is obvious that she still bears the grisly wounds of her ordeal, and the look in her eyes is disturbingly glassy and remote. Abruptly, the tape ends.

A large Tibetan mandala is drawn out in the middle of the Green Box's floor in multi-colored sand. In front of it someone has spelled out in the same sand: "PLEAS NO BRAKE CERCLE"

In the center of a six foot diameter circle of bare floor. So long as no one enters it, or alters the circle's integrity, the mandala manages to contain the Intelligence-rending phantom swirling within...

A fully-functional, average CRT monitor, with the exception of a shaped charge tucked away into a safe area of its casing. When the monitor is turned on, the charge is triggered, sending a shower of steel nails (plus screen shards and monitor parts) directly into its user's face.

A hydraulic arm from a garbage truck has been installed in the center of the Green Box's floor; it is controlled by a joystick assembly wired to the wall. It doesn't seem to have any clear purpose, but can be played with by fiddling with the joystick to move the arm up and down.

An elegant leather purse containing an empty Glock 19 9mm pistol, three loose 9mm rounds and a pair of brass knuckles (size small).

In the cupboards of the RV are many, many cans of non-perishable food. Primarily beans.
