Violet will take a shot at the spider on Jamin and then try to free herself fom the web, and head for the area of webbing above the lake.

(Did I miss Violet's Initiative roll?)

In any case, Eldeth (played by Jamin's player) goes first.

I need a roll to see if you're restrained by the webs. If you are, you can try to break out as an action. If you're not, you're in battle with a giant spider, your sword clenched in your little dwarfy hand. You're about 15 feet from the edge of the webs over the pool. Jamin is lying in the webs, paralyzed.

09:32, Today: Jamin rolled 13 using 1d20.  STR check - if restrained.
09:33, Today: Jamin rolled 9 using 1d20.  Flat attack roll.

Eldeth, with her sword clenched in her little dwarfy hand, lunges at the giant spider.

OOC:  I have no idea what her strength or racial modifiers are.  So, does a nat 9 hit?

It's with disadvantage, remember. No; it's vs. AC14. So a miss. You're not restrained, though.

Violet goes next. Let me see if she still wants to do what she wanted to above.

Yes please,

Violet wants to try to get free and go to help Jamin. She will take a shot atthe spider, then try to get free.

Hit roll 20 and 2 d roll is 5 so a miss

Strengh roll (to untangle) 14

You have to take an action to free yourself from the web. You can't shoot and then do it. Since you can't attack while restrained! Your entangled in webs.

You can also take a move as part of that action, but not an attack.

I'll let you use that roll to escape, but you can't attack this round.

I hate to keep saying this, but attack rolls are made with disadvantage (which means roll 2d20 and take the lowest) until the manacles are off. Remember, your arms are chained together, with a chain connecting that chain to your neck.

You can't attack at all while you are restrained; you're covered in webs.

How this works mechanically is this. You can take an action (such as attacking or trying to get out of webs), but not two actions at once. But you CAN move as part of an action.

So you can get out of the webs, and then move, but not get out and attack.

OOC: don't bother.

It's Adahl'en's move. You're near the edge of the web, near Shuushar and Stool.

Do you jump?

Re: Down, down, down below
The giant spider savagely strikes with its mandibles at Eldeth. She tries to dodge, but one long fang sinks into her side. It hurts, and the poison hurts more.

Suddenly, the area around Eldeth, the spider, Jasmine, and Violet is strangely illuminated. Green lines of lines of light course along the surfaces of the webs -- and maybe over you.

OOC: The spider attacks Eldeth. 15 + 5 = 12. It hits. That's 1d8+3 = 6 damage. I need a DC11 CON saving throw for Eldeth. She's got a +1 and makes it with advantage since she's a dwarf. Then, one of the drow above casts faerie fire.

Also, I need Dex saving throws for both Violet and Eldeth. The DC is 11. Eldeth's modifier is +4.

For Eldith:

12:39, Today: Jamin rolled 11 using 1d20+1.  DC 11 CON save - roll 1 of 2.
Made it - didn't need 2nd roll

12:40, Today: Jamin rolled 17 using 1d20+4.  DEX saving throw.

Eldeth takes half damage from the poison. 2d8 = 6/2 = 3. So she's taken 9 damage and has 7 hp left.

That is, for now. If Jamin does and Eldeth becomes your character, she will change into whatever 1st level dwarf ranger or fighter you want.

Eldeth twists out of the way, and the fingers of light reaching out to trace ger outline miss, dissolving in air.

Eldeth goes first. You know the situation. First, make a roll to see if you are restrained. If you are, you can try to get out (and move as part of that Action as per DnD rules if you succeed -- this could get you over the edge of the web). If not, you are restrained.

OOC - For Eldeth:
16:10, Today: Jamin rolled 14 using 1d20.  Restrain check.
Flat roll - please add DEX or STR bonus, but either way is a success.

Eldeth wobbles, her weight shifting on the webs beneath her feet.  She makes her way to the edge of the webbing and jumps.

Adahl'en now goes. Try to get out of the webs. Then you can move as part of that action if you succeed. (You are close enough to jump.)

Violet is still concerned with Jamin's inabillity to see in the dark. Im guessing the green magical light is not sufficient to actually see by.

If Jamin is headed in the wrong direction I want to go to his aid. If he has found his way to the edge and is or has jumped then I too will jump.

Jamin is paralyzed (might be dead, from all Violet knows). Your decision?

Faerie Fire doesn't let you see, other than the outlines of whatever it is cast over.
